Sad. Very, very sad and hopeless
I think Jolene will feel better if somebody from SF can visit her in person. After all these years, friends from On-line console her very little, if at all. Online can be helpful but nothing beats meeting supporters in person. In my case I have help from not only online but in Real Life too, so I'm doing alright. The same should be done for Jolene.

Unwanted, sad, hopeless... And desperate. I feel like I was dead but without the "benefits". I'm just inexistent but in pain
you know what's going on and how to get feeling a little better, as we suffer from pain physical/mental illness it grates on us and wears us down, it's not your fault humans can only cope with their skills and limits available to them. but it's up to you who wins, pain or recovery. I know the feeling I fight chronic pain and severe depression and sometimes it beats me down but even though I lose a battle sometimes I continue to fight and I win more battles than I lose. try doing things that give you satisfaction as well as reading and replying to other threads and help other people if possible. I hope you can fight this but we will fight with you if you want, win one battle at a time please take care of yourself and stay safe

All of a sudden I'm really depressed. Could hardly get out of bed. Slept pretty much all day. Don't know if I want to be alive.
I know life has been stressful but you have been doing well. you have lost some battles with depression/anxiety but you've won more than you lost. please try doing the things that usually pulls you out of this because what you have going for you is definitely worth living. I hope you win this battle with help, and you take care of yourself and stay safe

My dad is in chronic pain from having screws holding his hip together and this war on opiates thing is bs it is hurting the people that need like 1 vicodin a day for chronic pain by only giving my dad 10 pills a month instead of 30 and the people that is was supposed to tackle are the ones that take 8 pills a day and have no medical problems and are just addicts.

I was thinking about starting a petition against this shit, whenever the government gets hyperly involved in things it screws over the people that should not be screwed over.

thank you i'm trying to do well and for the most part I am thanks for asking. we all have to fight difficult as it may be sometimes and I win every time except one recently I lost 1 battle,my wife saved me and SF helped me recover. 1 loss in 2 months is pretty good. no one you, me, or anyone else has to fight alone. I hope you recover soon also

I work weekends. It means I've to miss my mother's birthday and my best friend's wedding. I've never wanted so much to resign.
i'm sorry you have to miss so much because of work but if you have a good work ethic it is worth it in the long run because your work ethic will follow you. I know how you feel I was a workaholic that worked 60 to 80 hours a week plus being a union president didn't leave much time for family. union did have perks though 1 week in vegas lol

I know how your dad feels and i'm sorry he has to go through this. i'm a cdc victim I get a lot less opioids than used to get, I was at a low pain level and functioning well now I have to fight suicidal feelings 2 or 3 days a week because of pain. please watch your father closely to make sure things don't get hopeless for him

@1964dodge he is a fighter even though he is suffering so much pain and will never get that way, but he told me that if I kill myself he will kill himself too.

have his doctor try non opioid meds to make up the difference it may help i'm on low dose duloxetine which isn't doing much yet but he's raising the dose Friday, maybe something similar could work for your dad. I really hope he gets relief from pain both for him and for your peace of mind. hang in there people do care even if the government doesn't

He got a steroid shot in his hip 3 months ago but wore off early so I told him to see if he can get another one and he made an appointment. For hip surgery they told him that they would have to grind his bolts down and replace the end of his decayed femur and that he might not survive the operation which scared him. I told him at 61 he needs to do it before he gets to old to have hip surgery but I am kind of worried when the doctor told him he might not make it through the surgery.
