Like whatever is wrong with me will kill me. But I can't get tested for 3 months. Love our medical system. Entirely insufficient for our needs. Don't even want to think about how bad the pain will be by then.
It is scary being at their mercy and whim, even worse when you also see that the medical system is pretty much the same as everything in the country and every system and say: We are all doomed at this rate...

That's an issue I have too @Witty_Sarcasm. I notice how automatically the walls will surround me when I sense someone wanting too much.
It's very difficult to deal with, because I've been hurt even by people I thought I could trust. I'm really sorry to hear you have dealt with these feelings as well.

Guys, I don't know what happened, but I've been crying about the way I look now for the past few weeks or so because I gained some weight from my medication. I cried after every meal and kept obsessively looking in the mirror and taking selfies, only to be disappointed and hate the way I looked even more. I still didn't lose any of it yet, but God changed my entire thinking pattern this morning. I was looking through photos of me, and suddenly I felt differently. Last night, I was devastated. This morning, I liked the way I looked. Only God could do this. It's an actual miracle. Christ, our Lord and Savior is awesome, beautiful, and very much alive.

Disappointed and frustrated but not really surprised. I sent a detailed triage form to my GP this morning, explaining my symptoms in depth. I haven't done this before because I fully expected to get turned away, fobbed off, or otherwise pissed off. Just got a text "We are now closed. Call NHS 111 or go to a walk in centre" What for? Walk in centre wait is 8 hours. NHS 111 is... nonsense, have called before. Utterly pathetic and I knew exactly this would happen because my GP is crap. Fuck the NHS.

If I die they will be financially set
You probably mean life insurance? Insurers have a way of wriggling out of making payments, for one thing. It's how they make money.

Even if they do get money, your wife seems perfectly capable of wasting all of it, or getting robbed.

There's no better insurance policy for you kids than to have a dad around that actually loves them. Money can't replace that.

I'm hurting so badly that I want to crawl out of my skin. I'm itchy all over and I know it's psychosomatic because the exact location keeps moving around. The humidity has been more livable than usual lately, so I don't think it's just dry skin. I have been using more lotion than any one human should need, though, just in case. It's also just a little calming to get the tactile stimulation.

I keep having these grief attacks where I'm trying to identify what I need, and the answer is always that I need the one person who could really help me. He didn't help me by doing stuff, although he definitely did a lot of practical things to help. It was more about having another person to eat with, and to have two of us in one bed. Sex is nice; I think I enjoy it more than most, but it's actually more important to share a meal, talk about nothing important, and drift off to sleep with someone complaining about my snoring... *hiding

So, yeah. I see I can still make little jokes even when I am taking breaks every few seconds to wipe the tears away. The thing is the crying. It's bad, like I have to cover my mouth to stifle the screams for fear of having a neighbor call in a "wellness check" on me, aka have the police come put me in hell a psych unit for 72 hrs. I need to get in better shape. This is too physically demanding.

I feel relatively calm in spite of my health issues and concerns. No contact from GP, and going to change practice via NHS app next week which will put me in limbo for a bit while the records transfer, but enough is enough. I do always have my method at the back of my mind, it tends to make me feel calmer - if I lose enough control, a way of regaining control is there. The scary thing is, at some point I will have to make a choice if it looks like my mobility/ability to access my method might be taken away from me because then I might have to make a pre-emptive strike, so to speak. Am not close to that right now, but I can see various paths branching off from here that could take me closer to it relatively quickly.
