How Are You Feeling Right Now?

Wired and tired. Worn out from the past week of becoming single again. Pain in teeth (crown work) and back…new kidney stone formation but it’s not time for surgical interventions
It’s a weird combination of feeling more at ease with the quiet in the empty house and beyond sad and uncomfortable with the aloneness and all that is around this.
there are just Too many feelings physically mentally and emotionally…..not eating doesn’t help but I can’t stomach any food right now

Feeling the effects of not enough sleep. 🥺

I keep having to remind myself emotions will change for the better, tomorrow.
I am totally right there with you. I didn't sleep at all from waking up on Sunday morning, until going to bed on Monday evening, so not even a nap for approx 36 hours. Last night I did get 8 hrs but I'm still affected by it. Hopefully not up until 1:00AM tonight.

OMG - the dreaded kidney stones! so since they've found the formation is there anything you can do to wear it down, e.g., eating/avoiding certain foods or any medications that affect liver enzymes such that the blood pH is changed in a good direction for dissolving the stone? Or is it just that you get to wait until it does need to be taken out invasively? I'm really hoping this isn't painful either way.

If it helps at all I had a normal appetite today, but Monday-Tues I had like one or two snacks in total. I really tried to force myself to consume something healthy because I knew I would pay for it if I didn't, but I pretty much failed. I did manage a protein shake though. When I got my appetite back, it was like I forgot how to eat... I would take one or two bites and wander off chasing rabbits.

Unfortunately this is not effective for weight loss. I end up craving sugar in a feeling practically indistinguishable from how I "needed" vodka before I quit that. So 3 cans of Cherry Coke later - I've gulped down about 450 calories and zero nutrition. The other thing is that I did lose weight, roughly 3 lbs is a conservative estimate. I don't think it's possible to burn enough calories to lose 1.5 lbs of fat in a day, so that was probably more muscle mass than fat loss. Great, more work in the gym.

Hello 1 am

I was sleeping well, then my bladder wakes me. Of course, I am grateful to miss bladder for waking me before I have an accident, but now I am wide awake.
I have similar with Mr bladder. But the Muppet Kidney Show is joining in by producing the majority of my output at night. At least now the uti is under control for the time being (I hope) I've gone from 20 trips a night to 3...

I had them 6 years ago and the pain and then lithotripsy and following 6 weeks with stents was pure hell. I changed my diet, haven’t eaten an almond anything or spinach (oxalates) since. Along with a few other foods off the list for high oxolate count as well, water intake tripled, less tea, and no calcium supplements because my stones are calcium based….this through food alone, working on reducing any added sugar intake which has spiked since separation these past couple of weeks.
I can’t bike in the summer heat but I early morning walk and do some gym workout a couple of days a week which I’ll get back to next week and keep up with yoga stretching.

I just sent off a 24 hourly urine collection last week and will see urologist next week since I’ve grown a couple of them apparently in the past year. Some discomfort but no blocking or movement yet. I dread having another lithotripsy any will try an alternative approach to disintegrate them
Lemon juice and vinegar and other myths do not work, I have a great nurse and her site is dedicated to those of us who deal with stones and how to prevent them. She’s active and interactive and on fb and posts little videos all the time. Most knowledgeable accessible and dedicated medical person I’ve ever met strictly works with stoners I’m giving you all this info in case you or anyone you know needs honest advice and help. if you want I’ll give her name. Her site is The Kidney Stone Diet
To answer your question…..there is no dissolving….only prevention or removal. So it’s worth doing the prevention ✔️

I need to correct an earlier post from this morning r/t kidney stones. There is a third way for them to exit the body aside from surgical removal/lithotrypsy etc or prevention. It’s them breaking up or coming out whole (depending upon size)!and passing/coming out of the body on their own. Just Thinking about it hurts🙂

I had results back from my x ray today apparently I have mild/minor OA in hip. I'd expect such at my age really - I don't actually have any symptoms of arthritis but am worried they are going to take my entire pelvic pain syndrome and diagnose it now as "a bit of arthritis". The specialist already diagnosed CPPS/pudendal neuralgia but the GP insisted on going ahead with the hip x ray and arthritis diagnosis and now I feel somewhat labelled and no longer see myself as a strong fit person. this has been my point all along about other things - as soon as they go looking for things they find things. Except when it's a tumour, in that case 4 of them thought it was a cyst. But that was years ago and eventually they cut it out. My health anxiety is in overdrive. That's why I don't want any other kinds of tests.

So the specialist was helping with some clarification of the source of your pain, and the GP has, in effect obfuscated the situation as far as your case as is concerned. @AvidFan you're seen here as very strong.
Your anxiety over health is valid, I'm not suggesting that others' views are all that significant, really. I am struggling with words today.

Thanks @seabird I suppose it's understandable, I don't think my own body knows what's what in its own pelvic region 🫠 Thank you I will keep updated and try to get some sleep to shut my health anxiety voice up!

Remember the thrush issue of mine? It hasn't improved and I went back to my new primary today. She is concerned and confused that I haven't responded to treatment. She prescribed a tablet that dissolves in the mouth, an antifungal. 5 times a day for 7 - 14 days.

She is ordering labs to test a few things, like HIV. Also, she showed me photos of tongue diseases, and mine looked like one that is cancer.

She doesn't even know who to refer me to.

I've slept all day except for showering and going to the dr appt. And that in 106F temps.

I am quite upset and anxious.
