Some people want antibiotics for every common cold or respiratory infection, which are viral about 99.9% of the time. And this is how we end up with antibiotic resistant bacteria.
You have a test strip, that I assume is proof positive of a UTI, so it’s appropriate to prescribe antibiotics barring any other complications. I’m wondering how the equipment between your legs factors into this decision. IIRC, women are more prone to UTIs by way of the geometric differences between male and female parts.
