People must be sick of me going on about this. Last night I tried to relax, I went to bed, I got up today and forced myself out for a walk. Did about 4500 steps. Got back and instead of doing my stretches I checked the plaster on the wall after all the wind and rain, and my inside wall is wet to the touch. So water is actively penetrating my house in a second place now. I have been trying to sort other problems out since November 2025. This is not a reflection of my ability, or willpower, or resilience it is a reflection of what utter bastards the people in trades here are. They don't want to know. They either ignore me, ghost me, try to scam me, actually scam me, lie to me, or do work that is shit when they occasionally do turn up. I don't know what else to do. I wish I could just die as my problems just keep increasing and my capacity to deal with them dwindling. Sooner or later this is going to push me over the edge, and I am getting close, I wrote to my elected representatives about the stupidity of this situation. I have probably basic, fixable issues with my house, which are going to get worse if nobody helps me. I keep trying to get help. People do all the former things, nobody seems to have a clue. How did any houses even get built if nobody knows how they fucking work? Meanwhile my income and work is collapsing and I might lose the house anyway. Maybe it would be for the best but housing is not great over here, there is a real chance I could end up on the streets. Or in some hostel or bed and breakfast at 56 having worked all my life.
So I'll try and regroup. I have to keep earning money to keep a house that itself is destroying my capacity to feel OK and do my work. I can't see this ending well. I pretty much have no hope left. I will just try to enjoy today.
