Hmmm, most interwestin'g explorations into answerdom indeed.
You have all mounted such commendable explainationary expeditions.

Very free,like a sexual salmon.

If only this was somwehere less intellectual i would respond with gay abandon...believe me,I would.
But you are all so fine to say what you mean and I fear I am too much unsure to do you all justice with an on par serving at the moment.

(I am not on drugs)

Donno.. it's not tennis.. Not sure where you are coming from with your question, but, I hope you can try to expand on it if you want :)

I will try,but you can shape or reshape the question if so please,it's a very fluid undertaking.

Off topic is cool too, that can take the knowledge places,I'm cool with that.

Sorry,just watched Obama's speech.

Okay, sorry for making you go through that, but I was talking about the idea that the random and unpleasant thoughts that may pop up in our heads,or linger there obsessively,is it too much of a burden for one person to accept feelings of wrongness for horrid permutations of thought?
Some people may start obsessing about one bad thought due to feeling that their mind has become contaminated instead of simply feeling it was a random and healthy event to theorize about such things.

For instance,I have thought about raping and murdering certain individuals but i feel no guilt or shame for having thought of committing such acts.
To me these kind of thoughts are not sick, they simply happen.

Or not.

maybe I'm a freak?

I donno tbh, I can't think specifically about things anymore, just in how i feel and respond to them.

Some people may accept events as part of infinity or their "life" and they treat it as they would the next thing.
It's alright to play with unacceptable thoughts. But, i suppose it's a good idea to ask why sometimes. I suppose if you just want to experience a certain thought and dont care why, It's appropriate to know who you are first so that you don't unknowingly start adjusting who you are to an obsession or dangerous thought.
Though i suppose if you are trying to find out who you are and are subjecting yourself to these thoughts, that's another thing.

I honestly couldn't tell you if you think you are a freak or not. It's not really about wether I think raping or beating someone to death in your head is acceptable, it's you who has to make that decision.
I think if you are unsure or just inquestion, it's an idea to understand why you need/choose to think/feel that way.

But I wouldnt think you are a freak. But I lost the plot along time ago So don't listen to me :P I just know, that the deeper you travel in a darker thought, the stronger and more honest you have to be with yourself, cause at the end of the day, either you're drawing from sources or you are pulling from your own desires. You kinda have to trust yourself..
That trust and subjection can make you think darker and tempting thoughts and scenarios to go with it.

I donno. If u hold an unacceptable thought close to you, and feel you need to breath it in, I guess just don't let it destroy who you are and who you want to become.

People have much simplier ways of saying what i want to say :P Basically at the end everyones right, it's what you do with those thoughts that counts.

Gosh, you can't tell em if i'm a freak or not,I know ,i know.It the kind of rhetorical question I got offa watching american tv progs.

Can I let you in on my major irrational uncontrollable thought?
I fear being cuts to bits as i walk around the corner of my building by one of those big noisy grass cutters the council workers drive around in.
It's stupid.

Thanks axiom, you have not lost it,you have it,whatever it is. :)
I am okay with my own evil,it holds no fear for me to think the darkest of thoughts.

You know ,you are good to talk with, very free and capable. :)
Not bad to read either.

It is hard to give you an answer, not because you don't make sense but because you pack quality content...a lot of people here do....i will pore your and all contributions here.Your stuff is more real than the article that led to this post in the first place.

Go wherever you want my friend.
Life is short and any mind outside of my own expressing itself it the greatest education i can hope for. :)

Reads to me like ego stroking :P Sorry I don't work well with "compliments", they tend to delude me to the reality I am aware of, but im glad you can make some use of it.

I donno. Sometimes fears like that can just be a natural thing. A way you rationally deal with a situation that has possibilities that you are more sensitive to. Other times it can be representations of something else, ..

I donno. If you think it's stupid, why is it stupid? Is it stupid that you should be not be affected by it?(are you asking from your own point of view or from the point of view of others) But even then, why does it make you feel that way?

Sometimes I guess we tense up to situations for whatever reason and our thoughts can manifest into whatever as they draw from the real fear or feelings that are felt as a result of being subjected to a situation.
Do you fear being cut up by it? Or does the idea of being cut up from it make you feel fear?
I donno.. it could be that it's just your mind playing with a stimulation that has the "potential" to inflict a certain degree of "whatever", and that degree is overwhelming and causes you to feel a certain feeling because "..", or it could be that the stimulation is triggering a remement feeling/situation that is associating itself to stimulations in the moment. Could be you're worried about being hurt, could be this could be that. I donno.. I have stupid things,(from other peoples perspectives.. They're not stupid to me though).. Sometimes we can create association bridges that could bridge a teacup to something that makes us feel horrible. Or perhaps you're living in the moment and the potential for certain things is a bit emeblished instead of grounded. Maybe you do it to bounce off your fear, maybe it's your way of reminding yourself that you have fear, or maybe it's life being a prick.

I donno, i could go on and on, but im not sure where you're coming from or where you are wanting to go.
At the end of the day, does that fear affect who you are? Why does the fear of being cut to bits frighten you. ..

the problem I know with thought and feelings is, you can bulldoze through thought, but feeling needs time to settle otherwise you're riding off impulse feelings which I think are just a only good for escaping the moment, not trying to see why you feel. That's even if your feelings and thoughts are aligned properly. Sometimes you can sacrafice who you are for a logical string of thought that "works".

See to me it depends on where it's coming from. Is it an unacceptable thought for you to feel fear like that?

God,i just don't know.It could be the look of the guys who drive the things, sometimes they look so pissed off/preoccupied that it is possible they could take someone out without being able to stop in time.

The chances of it happening though are astronomically zilch in reality. What with the smell of grass filling the air,the sound of the petrol motor and blades, for it to happen I would have to be walking around the corner one way at exactly the same time as the mower tractor type thingy glided silently up to the corner in the other direction and then burst into life, taking me down for good.

That still doesn't explain why the fear of being cut to bits frightens me?You're right about that though.
Damn this thing called brain in our heads that supplies us with "mos vivo",does it not supply us with a fair amount of "religio victus" also?

I seriously have written so many replies but everytime im high :P so i never post them. Sorry for taking so long to reply.

do you have an issuse with how you percieve other people who are in control of a machine that may harm you?
Without going too much into it, (which i did but never posted :P) Do you think the worry about the guys and the machines is sourced from your fear of being cut/hurt? Or is it a combination of a bunch of concerns?

I know thoughts spiral out, especially when a strong feeling is associated to those thoughts. It's like a massive driving force that can fuel "possibilities" and allow some of those possibilites seem more possible then they truly are. But rationally it's justified on some level, like how you put it with it being almost impossible. But in some way you have a string logic where it can happen, and that possibility is more dominant then a guy enjoying his job in the moment.

I can relate to that in someway kinda. I used to feel a certain way with drivers as i walked down the sidewalk. Id see the "true" possibile circumstances of why a car could lose control and crash into me. One of those true possibilities came from people driving to take me down, but i ripped that apart because no one knows me, plus why would someone destroy or go out of their way to harm me :D . As for a car losing control and striking me, im aware of it's possibility, and i dont think ive ever let go of it tbh. But i can walk past them with less care about them because i have other things to focus on.

But at the end of the day those thoughts are sourced from a fear of dying. I suppose it's a way of balance to protect myself.

For being cut? Death and pain can be confusing in combination together. Like I may want to die, but i dont want to bleed to death.

I suppose, do you know where your fear of being cut comes from?

Irrational thoughts once you see them for what they are, can be counteracted by strengthening your rational thoughts.
But there is always a downside to that aswell. You can become rigid, sometimes an irrational thought is brilliant, it gives you an easy access to your feelings. Rational can be alot more terrifying too when the possibilites are there, as opposed to an irrational series of thoughts, because on some level you can counteract the negative feelings that assocate to the irrational thoughts simply by honeing in on the fact that those feelings are sourced from those irrational thoughts.

sorry again for the late reply. Hope some more people jump in :)

Just so you know,I had someone threaten to mow me down with a car. They hit almost 60mph and had the most evil look on their face.
To be honest my only concern was whether I would be able to jump high enough so that i would crash through the windscreen, taking them out as well.

That is the odd thing about this silly fear, because when the time of danger arrives my only thought is how to eliminate the threat posed,or at least embrace that said threat in a mutual death grip so it doesn't re-enter the workaday world.

A piece of myself that I plan to deny succor until my own mortal end is the strange calmness that comes from dangerous situations.
I find the clarity to be intoxicating.

Maybe the fear comes form me denying my true hardass controlling side, trying to compensate, fill the void this choice of action leaves with the emotional remapping towards a softer more thoughtful attitude.

Fears a funny thing. The problem I find with feelings and thoughts is, thoughts can help to contain feelings, but to understand a feeling, sometimes you need to understand the thoughts that are pumped into it. Clearing those self created thoughts can let you feel the real source of your feelings, which gives you an opportunity to apply your thoughts to your feelings. Like a network to funnel the feelings through or in.

I dont know much about feelings and thoughts, but I wonder if controlling feelings with thoughts is a method of decieving yourself. Sometimes I wonder if it's better to conteract a certain feeling with another feeling, by brining the lesser feeling to the surface in a moment when a more dominate feeling makes you believe that nothing else can be felt.

And when you can't you logically think why, and kinda bridge the gap with thought, while balancing those thoughts with honest feelings.

idk. it's the best bullsht i can make up now.. running out of juice :P
