I seriously have written so many replies but everytime im high :P so i never post them. Sorry for taking so long to reply.
do you have an issuse with how you percieve other people who are in control of a machine that may harm you?
Without going too much into it, (which i did but never posted :P) Do you think the worry about the guys and the machines is sourced from your fear of being cut/hurt? Or is it a combination of a bunch of concerns?
I know thoughts spiral out, especially when a strong feeling is associated to those thoughts. It's like a massive driving force that can fuel "possibilities" and allow some of those possibilites seem more possible then they truly are. But rationally it's justified on some level, like how you put it with it being almost impossible. But in some way you have a string logic where it can happen, and that possibility is more dominant then a guy enjoying his job in the moment.
I can relate to that in someway kinda. I used to feel a certain way with drivers as i walked down the sidewalk. Id see the "true" possibile circumstances of why a car could lose control and crash into me. One of those true possibilities came from people driving to take me down, but i ripped that apart because no one knows me, plus why would someone destroy or go out of their way to harm me

. As for a car losing control and striking me, im aware of it's possibility, and i dont think ive ever let go of it tbh. But i can walk past them with less care about them because i have other things to focus on.
But at the end of the day those thoughts are sourced from a fear of dying. I suppose it's a way of balance to protect myself.
For being cut? Death and pain can be confusing in combination together. Like I may want to die, but i dont want to bleed to death.
I suppose, do you know where your fear of being cut comes from?
Irrational thoughts once you see them for what they are, can be counteracted by strengthening your rational thoughts.
But there is always a downside to that aswell. You can become rigid, sometimes an irrational thought is brilliant, it gives you an easy access to your feelings. Rational can be alot more terrifying too when the possibilites are there, as opposed to an irrational series of thoughts, because on some level you can counteract the negative feelings that assocate to the irrational thoughts simply by honeing in on the fact that those feelings are sourced from those irrational thoughts.
sorry again for the late reply. Hope some more people jump in
