Thanks for the tag @FlamingoWrangler :)

I'm in southern England, near London. The weather here is generally pretty bland - around 70f/22c in the summer (we consider it a heatwave if it goes over 80f) and around 44f/7c in winter. Pretty rainy.

Today it's average temp for winter and cloudy.

My favourite weather is hot and sunny ☀️ But snow comes a close second ❄️ I hate rain ☔

I'm not a massive sports fan unless it's tennis or a bit of soccer too. But I do normally follow the Olympics to a degree. But like @may71 I'll give this one a miss.

I've come down with a bad cold today. Sore throat, sneezing, hideously snotty and generally feeling like poo, so am feeling very sorry for myself. I'm supposed to be going to a gig tomorrow night so really hoping I'll feel better by then

Am in Washington State USA. Currently raining. It does that a lot here. Perfect weather for me, about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with gentle breeze, blue skies with a few clouds.
Do not plan on following Olympics. It will be hard as I like many of the Winter sports. But it is my boycott of China and the miserable way they treat their people. Did know a lady who competed int the 1988 Winter Olympics in ice skating. I was trying to learn to skate at the time and she sometimes skated where I did. My skating teacher also made her outfits. Love Ice Dancing, Luge, Bobsled, Slallom, a lot of the Winter sports.

It’s sunny! Haha
Sunny but very cold. Every morning there is ice and about 40f The ocean causes a lot of fog. It rolls in thru the bay, blankets th bridge, and spills onto the freeway/highways that lay to the east of San Francisco. Which makes it difficult to see.

Windy as ever out where I work. Where I live it does not get much wind at this time.
Winter is still here even though it looks like spring. Not a lot of rain this year, that usually comes March ,April, May time these days.

I used to! Used to watch it religiously. Over the years there has been more things going on in my life I do not have the time like I used to. Back in the 90s though always everyday during summer would get a supersize mcDonalds meal they had the monopoly game. And watch the olympics with a friend

Lol I couldn’t help but laugh
(What should the topic be) how about weather and sports 😂 😂 😂

Thanks for the tag @FlamingoWrangler and great cafe idea!

I’m in the north of the U.K and it’s been cold and windy here over the past week or so.
My perfect weather day is warm and sunny but not too hot with a nice cool breeze in the air.
When I was in the girl guides, our troop went camping and the weather was horrible. One night there was a thunderstorm and we were in one of those old fashioned tents with no zips or anything like that (I think the “doors” tied together or were secured with Velcro), when all of a sudden, a sheep sticks it’s head through the tent flaps and we all just started screaming. It was both terrifying and hilarious because the sheep looked just as confused as we did :D

I’m not really a follower of the Winter Olympics but I would watch the figure skating if I was flicking through the channels and I stumbled upon it. I kind of like curling as well, there’s something therapeutic about that little brushing motion :D

These past few months have been full of revelations for me, I feel like I’m starting to get answers for things that I have been struggling with for pretty much all of my life. I’m hoping to be able to become more independent with help and support. Also, not very interesting but I’ve been hearing good things about noise reducing ear plugs so I’ve ordered some to see if they can help with my over sensitivity to noise. I’m always wishing I had some sort of remote control to lower the volume of the world but no such thing has been invented yet :D
Maybe we could invent it, sounds like a winner idea Bring it to market and make a fortune. I have sensitive hearing, always have...it's annoying at times and a blessing at others. I hope your ear plugs work well.

Thank you for the tag @FlamingoWrangler 💜

Winter here in south east England has been very mild, rarely dropped below 0 over night. We haven’t had proper snow in a number of years. Perhaps light covering which lasted a day or so but nothing more. Pretty sure I jinxed it when I bought a 4 wheel drive car because I was terrified of driving in the snow. Because we rarely get snow literally everything grinds to a halt if we have one snowflake! 🤣 Trains stop running, schools close and people can’t get out to work or get stranded trying to get back home. Roads aren’t really cleared properly so driving becomes very treacherous. I wonder if people who are used to snow think we’re silly all the fuss we mak

Never been massively sporty, although I like some of the winter Olympic sports. Unlikely I’ll see any though.

Stay warm and safe everyone in the US, Hope things don’t get too difficult for you. *grouphug2

Thanks for the tag @FlamingoWrangler and @Astrid78

It's been really rainy today here in Pittsburgh, and the roads are supposed to start freezing this evening. We're getting a little more snow too, and maybe some sleet and/or hail, but I'm mostly worried about the ice. I was worried about the weather because I went out to see a movie early this afternoon because a local indie theater has been showing The French Dispatch as part of a Wes Anderson themed week. Today was the last day of "Wes Fest" before they switch to their next theme, "Snow Capped Horror." (They were also showing Rushmore, as well as The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, but I'd already seen those so I was mostly focused on getting in to see The French Dispatch.) Also got some food and stuff. Idk if it's started freezing by now, but I got home safe and was even able to go with my roommate to grab some groceries so we wouldn't have to go out in the storm. Surprisingly there weren't too many people in the grocery store. Thought it would be crazy.

I am not paying that much attention to the Olympics this year. Was hoping the NHL players would get to go this time, but it didn't work out. Some of the hockey pages I follow on social media are providing updates about men's and women's Olympic ice hockey, but I'm not really actively following.

My update is, my best friend had her baby! He came out nearly 10 pounds. Not sure how long she was actively in labor, but she went in to be induced on Monday, then he was born this morning. I was a little worried not having heard news about it for a few days, but my one roommate who will be going through the same process next week said it can take a few days after being induced to have the baby. She lives about 300 miles/480 kilometers from me so I can't really go see her or anything, but hopefully she'll be able to chat on Facebook at some point. Though I'm not going to be too impatient because I know she's dealing with a lot.

Thank you for the tag. Not really sure what I'm doing here as only just joined.

Weather here (northern England) rather blowy but at least the gales have eased.. Not had much snow at all this year.
Perfect weather, sunny but not hot, warm enough to dry clothes outside.
As for the games.. No not for me, give me a good documentary on the tv
Good to have you here and welcome, just join in and have fun, this section is lighter in nature than some sections where we just share and anybody is welcome to take part. :)

Windy and cold here. It has not gotten above the 20s here today and ice all around. Makes me glad to have power, heat, plenty of propane and not having to go out. :)

Other than the time to time Winter storms, weather here is mostly quite mild. Anything below 40 is considered very cold for the area.

or what is your perfect weather day.

A slightly cool Fall day.

or Anything you want to say.

Only complaint I have is the weather affecting the internet, but you can live without the internet contrary to how some feel. LOL

Just popping in here to say hi. I'm in Pennsylvania, and so far, the only thing I've gotten from the winter storm is rain. It's supposed to change to freezing rain, and then to snow sometime tomorrow morning. I'm watching the Olympics now, I've always enjoyed them. This year, they're audio-described for those of us who are blind. It's nice to actually know what's going on, the intricate details that the announcers don't mention.

Awe, I love you SF friends! Thanks for all the replies. Well except for @RCee - calling me out on weather & sports! 🤣😂🤣.
Just joking @RCee - i love you lots!

I have about 12-20 inches of snow in my area. The heavy wet stuff. It makes a great snowman or snow fort. It was great because it wasn’t super cold today. The temp is supposed to drop to the uncomfortable/cold numbers overnight.

I am happy to hear about a new baby. Happy to see @Debzc, a new friend, share with us.

I may talk more later, but here is my backyard. About 5 large branches broke from the trees. (Will deal with that in spring).

Looks beautiful, mainly here it just gets freezing rain, sleet or muddy slush and rarely snow. It is pretty when you don't have to get out in the mess otherwise drag out the heavier and warmer coat. :)

It's cold, snowy, and icy here. My perfect weather day is the complete opposite of that. lol

I like the Olympics and always manage to watch some of it. Don't know if I have a favorite sport to watch, I just like to watch it.

Nothing new going on here. Not sure if I'm ok because I was in bed for about 25 hours. lol

hey, hi all.

this year I'm actually getting older with excruciating back issues as proof. OUCH!!!

I definitely intend to make some clear cut changes in my life too. though I'll most probably still be an extraterrestrial with all the same pros and cons like loving deep deep snow. hey my saucer landed in a new york winter back yard so many years ago when it still snowed here. OK it snowed here a few days ago but can you really call that snow? and now with this storm sweeping the nation its just warm cold rainy wet no fun here.

I'm with the same sentiment pertaining to the olympics as mentioned by @may71 and others. my hope... somehow human rights is gaining in worldwide popularity nonetheless and this planet still has a chance to become a better place. it is my planet of choice btw after all. I'm not actually here as a part of an invasion as earthlings are sometimes known to fear. but when we say "we mean yo no harm", it does not seem to be consoling. well me before or me tomorrow, I am amazed... in a most favorable way. in spite of its shortcomings earth does shine brightly in the universe and that's why I took that sharp left when flying near by - crash landed - smiled... and the rest is history...

thanks @FlamingoWrangler for this lovely snowy café and inviting me here; here's a random tag @kdm ; happy to see everyone, new, regulars, some back again after a while (YAY)... hoping everyone is having at least some fun with the snow, real or imagined or thru a window. and who ever I be, yours truly ET.

Well I live in Kansas and weather is always crazy around winter, you could get a windy cold winter storm or you could have 80°F weather.
Drivers are always bad where I live but they’re doing a lot worse because the roads were plowed and that just packed the snow down and when it melted later it became ice so the roads are icy.

When I was I wanna say 7 I lived in the country and it was storming and tornadoes were trying to form all that fun stuff you see out there and my mom, little brother and I went out for a walk, it was raining and I decided I was a weather girl and I had a dress on and it was really fun.(I love rain)

My perfect weather would be like a foggy morning, afternoon showers, and a cool night with a clear sky, I have had this perfect weather once in my life.

I don’t care that much I’m not a sports person I sort of follow them still just cause my mom still follows and enjoys them so it’s on the TV.

Even though I don’t like sports being in them or watching them out of the sports I’ve watched I like basketball the most.

What’s new? What’s happening? Updates? Anything you want to talk about? Are you ok?
Recently I had my birthday, my birthdays are usually pretty boring but I got to have a friend over and that was fun!

Well I’ve been cleaning my room and it’s almost pretty good it may not sound like much but it’s really hard for me to do.

And no I’m not ok, but that’s okay because I’m not too bad either.

Thank you for tagging me it makes me really happy to feel like people think of me so your tagging me made my morning better! -Kimbee<3
