Jim’s December 25th cafe is Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

Happy Boxing Day to all the Canadian, UK and commonwealth nations who observe it....we in the states a don't, but I took today, Friday, Sat and Sun off, so I am enjoying an extended break. In the spirit of Boxing Day, I packed up some items my son and I don't use anymore and donated them to Goodwill..
Today is kind of up and down. I'm still going to try to make the best of it. I got the Christmas mooses (known by everyone else as reindeer) out of the storage this morning. One of them sings Jingle Bells and dances, kitty is horrified by this moving dancing thing

thank you for opening the café @sassy123 and sorry i'm late.
I remember until my grand mother passed away we had to go to my aunts house on Christmas eve. we ate and opened gifts, then we went to my grandmothers house to open gifts and she would insist we eat. no matter what we or my parents said we had to eat again. we were stuffed before we left. and then went home to open gifts. it was usually close to midnight before we were done. then we went to sleep and my father put together all toys that needed assembly before going to bed if he got to bed, and that's what I did with my kids.
and one year when I was young I had a bad abcess in my ears and was in terrible pain. it was so bad I didn't want to open my gifts and just went back to bed. of course it was bad for me but it was worse for my parents. they always made Christmas magical but were powerless to help me. even then I felt bad for them. they did Christmas just for me a couple days later when I could get out of bed. that is one of the times I knew my parents loved me dearly...mike

Ty for opening the cafe @sassy123 sorry don't really have any Christmas stories I can think of to share right now but this Christmas was a good one for me I got some $ or equivalent which is by far the most valuable thing to me (more than more "stuff" in any case) right now so I'm glad about that.
