When I saw the theme for the Monday cafe I was immediately drawn to it. Interesting theme it is ;) Thanks @Inya for opening cafe and for the invite! *hug*shake
1. All odds are against you. Do you try to find a solution, no matter how impossible it seems, or you give up? Why give up when love is ultimate.

2. Does it bother you if this special person is of different race/ethnicity and culture?
Nope. Not an issue at all.
3. What about different religion, ideology and political beliefs? Embrace difference Lol. Different is unique ;)

4. Different socioeconomic class? Nothing matters when you are in love Lol

5. Big age difference? No biggie

6. Would you move to a foreign country for them?
Yessir. Definitely :D
7. Your entire family and friends are against the relationship. You can’t change their mind, you have to choose between them and the person you love. What would you do? Who do you choose?
I choose him ! I ignore them ! :D :P. I miss being in love tbf ...

Ok, it’s my turn to answer my own questions.

1. I don’t accept two people in love can’t be together. I believe there is always some kind of solution, but it’s very difficult to see it when your emotions are all over the place. And it takes two to fight for love.
All odds were against us. It was an impossible situation at the time, it could all turn to total shit. But it didn’t, actually it turned out much better than we expected. It just took us 2.5 years.

2. I wouldn’t care if his skin was purple or green. I enjoy learning about different cultures, no problem there. Except for those where women have no equal rights.

3. Money isn’t important. But I don’t imagine myself with a filthy rich guy. I don’t think I could live the lifestyle. It’s a burden.

4. I’m not sure. I’m an atheist and I think it might bother me if he was religious.
Different ideology or politics is fine with me unless if it’s about hatred, racism, inequality, xenophobia or any kind of discrimination.

5. It could be a problem. It’s just a number, right. But I’m afraid it would cause me some anxiety.
If he was much younger I’d probably freak out whenever I discovered a new wrinkle on my face and wonder when he’ll replace me for a younger version.
If he was much older I’d worry he’ll die before me and I won’t survive the pain.

6. We agreed to have two homes, one in his country and one in mine, although we spend more time in his. It’s easier for me because I speak his language and he doesn’t speak mine.
But I’d move to the North Pole in winter to be with him.

7. If they only care about me conditionally and make me choose, I don’t need or want them. I choose love. Not that it wouldn’t hurt like hell though.

1. Would try to find a solution together

2. would not be a problem at all

3. religious background is not a problem

4. I think if there is a difference in amount people are bringing in there should be a pre nup

5. To me in my mind age is just a number love is love

6. Not sure would have to think about that one

7. In my mind if the other person family doesn’t like you then they can get happy in the same pants they got mad in lol

In response to your tag, my answer might be a slight-repeat of a previous post I had. That is, I had my first relationship when I was already in my 50s, and I was not even looking for one at all. But it happened anyway so I just went with the flow. Plus it happened while I was staying at a Homeless-Center so there's No way to avoid that person on a daily basis when we reside in the same building. As fun as it was, the emotion made me feel uneasy and even scared. So I stopped it. Because basically you could call me an Asexual. Or basically because I practice Buddhism which teaches Non-attachment.
At the same time this video-clip still stands out in my mind after all these many years because it's so heartbreaking:

This is interesting because of my recent experience but I will go against everything everyone is saying. Of course, I am jaded, so I didn't "LOVE" this person; just liked a lot. I wouldn't let myself "love" him. Now that relationship is gone and I'm still not sorry.

You meet this person that makes you feel like no one ever has before.

1. All odds are against you. Do you try to find a solution, no matter how impossible it seems, or you give up?

Yeah, I would try to find a solution; this is probably the only time I am in line with everybody

2. Does it bother you if this special person is of different race/ethnicity and culture?

Yes it might.

3. What about different religion, ideology and political beliefs?

Definitely different political views; and as long as they were Christian or agnostic or atheist and respected my religion (Christian) I would be ok.

4. Different socioeconomic class?

The guy I dated was retired and lower socioeconomic that is to say living on SSI. he would propose taking me out and I would end up paying the bill. In fact I paid for most things. Some of it I resented I am a gal likes to be courted but it wasn't to be the case. But I didn't love him.

5. Big age difference?

My sister married a guy 15 years older and now he's retired and she still has to work. He has lots of physical ailments she is still healthy. Now they are separated.

6. Would you move to a foreign country for them?

Not unless it was English speaking.

7. Your entire family and friends are against the relationship. You can’t change their mind, you have to choose between them and the person you love. What would you do? Who do you choose?

ok. I would choose love.

:)

1. All odds are against you. Do you try to find a solution, no matter how impossible it seems, or you give up?
I'd do everything I could to find a solution. I'd only give up if I found that there wasn't one.

2. Does it bother you if this special person is of different race/ethnicity and culture?
It wouldn't bother me unless a part of their culture ended up being something I'm not okay with.

3. What about different religion, ideology and political beliefs?
In my past, people with religious/ideological/political opinions directly opposite to my own have only pursued relationships with me so that they can try to convert me to sharing their ideals. Not into that sort of predatory behaviour at all. That's not to say that I need someone who shares my beliefs, but I do need to feel that they at least respect them. Not looking for another repeat of getting told "I wish you weren't doomed to live out eternity in hell, it makes me sad." Manipulative and gross.

4. Different socioeconomic class?
Not a problem.

5. Big age difference?
Not a problem.

6. Would you move to a foreign country for them?
Probably not, I like my home country too much. They could come here and stay with me though.

7. Your entire family and friends are against the relationship. You can’t change their mind, you have to choose between them and the person you love. What would you do? Who do you choose?
Family and friends should not be setting ultimatums like that. My friend has not done that despite her disapproving of my last relationship. My family I can see doing something like this but I would have no problem cutting my family out of my life.

I'm sorry love was such a bad experience for you, I hope that changes soon. I'm glad you stopped by. *hug
Ty I appreciate you saying that. I don't dare to even hope that it will ever "change for me" at any point in my life. I think some people are just doomed to be alone/single/unwanted forever, but maybe (sometimes) it is actually deserved in the end anyway. No prob. about stopping by though, always glad to check out when there's a new cafe, and even more so when I'm tagged so ty again for the tag & sorry if I was too negative but just wanted to be honest rather than put a bunch of bs that my heart wasn't in at all.
Hope you are well & sending lots of hugs & love to you & everyone else here too :) *hug

I am an example of those doomed for who that doom was avoided. I further believe that any of those so doomed could avoid that doom. It may not be ideal and it may leave difficult questions and concerns but it could ultimately prove to be something better than the doom. I'm happy to explain what I mean if you'd like at a time suitable for you. I'd be explaining steps I took both bad and good at a time when I was very inexperienced at self rescue. Maybe my learning can be helpful to others.

Thinking like that will will you into a much greater likelihood of it happening, than if you reverse course —& thus, your outlook on things. Which may — this change in attitude/perspective — allow for greater opportunities (if I tell my self I can’t climb the damn mountain 🏔 over and over and over again.. guess what?!? There’s a pretty good chance it’s never going to happen - or that I’m not going got will it to happen... See the difference :D )
