Hey GIWM, Thanks and glad to be here. I’m doing ok now! Its funny but when i first looked at the thread i thought i would not be able to answer anything but i was wrong as you can see below. Memories have been stirred. That’s a good thing. Its so nice to remember the good parts of my life. Hoping you and everyone is finding the happier parts of life in this café. Thanks much for opening!

here goes...

1. What's your favorite game from your childhood? Uncle Wiggy but i was actually too young to even understand what the point of the game was - i guess to get to the end of the trail. but idk!!! Then there was ... I don't know what it's called, but it's a square flat thing with 11 little other squares - some white and some black (or on my deluxe version, blue) all with numbers on them that you slide around to make different number / color combinations. oh yeah, the there's the game Dots. its done on a piece of paper. you draw a square grid of dots. there's two players and it is a competition to see who will create the most boxes by connecting dots. I also loved the card games War and Solitaire. hey lets not forget Spit! a card game played with 2 people who each put out cards as if a solitaire game but then the wild stuff begins - its where fast thinking and action are necessary not to mention an expendable deck of cards!!!

2. What's your favorite game now? fraid I'd generally would have to stick with the same bunch of games from back then but have not played in years. I'd just have to add Old Maid (but with its Japanese name which we - wife and kids played when the kids were little. that’s about 2 thirds of the way between my childhood and now!

3. If you could live in a game for a week, what game would it be? maybe Uncle Wiggly or Solitare

4. Multiplayer games or solo. games? the square thing number game and solitaire are all solo but the rest are multi.

hey, I forgot Monopoly when I was a kid and later with my kids. and I don't actually want to live in a Monopoly game but I'd love to be one of the tokens put back in the box once everyone was already sick and tired of playing the game into the wee hours and school already started. ah to be that token in the box for a week or maybe even 6 or 7 years!!! bliss!

where could i hide now? in Jim’s Café of course, sipping tea or coffee or one of those other fabulous drinks some of our many creative hosts have over the years, kicked down the locked Café door to bring to us!!! not to mention the great breakfasts, lunches and dinners - picnics, banquets, beaches forests and what else..... ah yes! the themes! the Qs! the puzzlers! hey! do we have a Café game table?

I spent a lot of time in dr. Chaos as a child

Contra was my jam and played so much powerpad that we used to close our eyes and see if we could remember the moves (all about counting)

I don’t have a fav game now or playing .

Aiight aiight. So year is 2010 mom just passed (its cool don’t be sad) anywho, i spent my time processing this by buying a rpg (dragon age)
(she passed 4 days into jan)
okay enter gameplay.
I just got laid off 4 months earlier because i needed to be a care provider for my mom and my old job decided to fire me (long story i was manager and was actively doing massage so i could work from home , my boss later took back my vaca days....) anywhoo back to dragon age.... so 13 days into the game (yo i love me my side missions) okay one of the scenes dragon boss (electric one )this was one of the last like imma bout to beat this shit...i am 14 minutes in to the (boss level beating the game) okay here is what my guy at the time said . He walks into the room and yells “wtf is going on’ i ignore him then say “why you bein all loud” ....there is a reason to that loudness...apparently while i was so into beating then”boss” an alarm was going off. We lived in apartments behind an alley. On the other side was 2 bars and a shopping plaza grocery store and so on. There was a firegoing on at subway (about 10 feet from the apartment. I was in such a state of just putting everything into the game and escaping reality i did not hear the 2 fire trucks the loud alarm sound and lights going off. Long story short.... IF any one needs escape guarantee dragon age will so sho make reality past lol. Haha true story
