We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK but I love the idea of it. I live in a small village and we have a local Facebook page. The lady who runs it is a baker and she's got an open house tonight, encouraging as many people as possible to come together for a drink and a slice of cake. If my daughter was home we'd have maybe gone along. Lovely idea :)

I’m having a pretty good day. We were successful in obtaining our Thanksgiving ingredients and my roommate is cooking now. I’m hanging out in the kitchen working on a paper and just sorta chilling.

We’re having turkey, fried chicken, baked mac n cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, cornbread, and some kind of pumpkin cake thing.

For today, that it's Thursday and I'm not back at work till Monday. For the past year, Liverpool winning the Champions League and being able to meet some of you guys at the SF London meetup back in August.

Yeah, work during the day and not fucking working during the evenings*bleh

I'm in the UK so there's no Thanksgiving here.

Overall it's been a good day. Food, some hanging out, seeing someone I care about. I'm okay with this Thanksgiving.
That said, it is much harder to keep all the noise in my head under wraps in person. My face says a lot, it's a flaw not a feature. I'm so so happy to be here. So, that is not at all an issue. Maybe some good sleep will help?

Tonight I'm going to hang out here a bit longer. Take a nap. Get up again until I can sleep some more, and read, SF, write or whatever.
❥ What are you grateful for today? What about this past year?
I'm am beyond grateful for the important people in my life. They know why they are. I wouldn't have made it though this last year without them. I'm grateful for second, third, forth or whatever number of chances. I'm grateful to have been clean this long (never really thought it was possible). I'm grateful for so many things.
❥ Do you have completely different plans for the day and evening?
My day was sort of strange with travel and sleeping weird and all. Not so much different plans and just making it work.

We ordered that shit premade. None of us have time for that lol. We went and picked it up. Didn't take but 15 min.

Busy day. Planning for Christmas gifts, shopping, volunteering.

Healthy dinner, cat and TV. Reading just before sleep.

I was really grateful to find a data file I thought had glitched on saving. :) This past year - I’m grateful for friends here and irl.

Yes. I go out during the day and cocoon at night.

I knew there was Thanksgiving in Canada but not the other places. So that was interesting to find out.

Not bad I guess. How are you doing?

Well, my mom is working tonight, so I'm on my own. So maybe I will do some things I enjoy.

I'm grateful for my friends and family and good things in life. I'm grateful for someone special I met in the past year.

Well we didn't buy a turkey since we end up wasting most of it. But yeah my mom cooked a nice meal and we have good desserts too.
