Jim's Cafe - 11th January, oops February '18

Wow, what a very organised opening of the cafe @Innocent Forever . I've actually been given a job to do! :eek: Unfortunatly I'm not a very good boy and don't eat my greens, so salads are not my expertise, but what the hell.

I've brought along a rather fetching rainbow salad made with some stuff that grows out the ground (not the eggs obviously! Unless I have been well and truly misinformed!), and some odd things that I don't recognise:

Technically it's a unicorn, but your challenge today is to rid the cafe of the purple demon and get admin to delete it!! I suspect @JacsMom may be able to assist; not through any sense of loyalty, but rather as a symbolic "F You" to me.

well look at me, here i am late again as usual again. but i also was the first one here earlier, right after Innocent. but i wanted to show off my proficiency in leaving a link or picture and you know? i ended up getting very frustrated. is it even allowed on SF to leave a link? i got worried. it was just for a favorite song. then i thought about tagging people. i think it is a skill i should have but my brain does not hold such information for very long. so very frustrated i left. but.... today my 16 yr old son baked me belatedly my birthday cake. iced it too and you can see Woowoo above somehow snuck in to our dining room later this evening and has a photo of it sliced and ready to eat. isn’t it? Woowoo Here is where tagging would have come in handy. but thanks for the picture and everyone, the cake is so huge and i so borderline diabetic that there are slices for everyone. i hope you enjoy.

I had wanted to talk to my friend and tell him about what's been going on, but I didn't. I did manage to tell him we need to talk, so we are supposed to meet later this week. Today turned out to be a good day. A nice drive and a reminder that I can overcome. OH and there was good food!

yea! you got it, shania. it belongs to the order of Catfish xD

it's "ikan patin", or Pangasius in latin, aka shark catfish. native fish in here
it's very delicious, and not many bones, so eating it is super convenient ~

We mostly only fry catfish around here. It's more popular in the south but I'm pretty sure they mostly fry it too.

What's with those weird pepole that are like, "I don't eat fish"? Very odd.

I went to an Asian grocery store yesterday and they had giant toads for sale, who knows what you cook with those guys. There was other weird stuff in barrels, but the counter was too crowded to approach. (The smell was INTENSE)
