*bdayHappy Birthday, Dante!

1. Alfred brushing Batman. Thanks for the laugh.

2. Hopefully soon with the picture I'm going to post.

3. I couldn't pick one favorite comedy. My favorites include "Dumb and Dumber," "Ruthless People," "A Fish Called Wanda," "Spaceballs," "I Love you to Death," Monty Python's "Holy Grail" and "Life of Brian," because these movies still make me laugh, no matter how many times I watch them. Marvin the Martian is my favorite cartoon character, his cartoons still make me laugh, everything about him makes me laugh.

4. I can do a British accent (maybe the result of repeating out loud all the Monty Python skits I've seen over the years.)

5. Not a link to anything, just a picture I took years ago. Hope it gets a laugh :D Marvin the Martian graced us with his presence during the roll out of a Space Shuttle.

Happy Birthday!!! @Dante I hope you have a wonderful day. Thank you for the tag and opening the cafe, the fun facts in particular.
1. The last thing to make me laugh was watching our newly adopted cat get over the baby gate.
2. The last time I made someone else laugh, the other day with my kids.
3. I dont really have a fav, so many funny people out there it's hard to choose, I like to watch older comedies with my teen, because he hasn't seen them makes it funnier.
4. The only accent I can do is the one I speak naturally. Haha
5. I'm too lazy to search for a link so I'll end this with a funny story, if that's ok.
5yr old " I smell poopy."
3yr old " it's my butt!"
Hope everyone has a great day today

1) What was the last thing that made you laugh (fake laughs don't count)
Google Translate from Japanese to English on some cat channels. "If a tea white cat comes to be mopped, the white pheasant is delighted while saying a gorogoro."

2) When was the last time you made someone else laugh (people laughing at you doesn't count, this is about fun, not cruelty)
Yesterday, but humor is merely a makeshift weapon against the crushing pain inside.

3) What is your favourite comedy and why? (Film, TV, Cartoon, even a comedian if you don't like TV)
Google Translate from Japanese to English. In general.

4) Can you do an accent? If so which? (special points if you can do a convincing Grizzled Prospector accent) (EXTRA special points if you send an audio link)
I can do a heavy Japanese accent, but this just means transliterating the syllables and replacing L with R. (So Eric Clapton -> Eriku Kurapoton, as even seen on a CD release.)

5) Less of a question, more or a request: Post a link to something that will make people laugh, a picture, a video, a silly song, anything.

Happy birthday, Dante! You seem like a very intelligent person with strong opinions, which I respect wholly. :) I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, trials, and tribulations. I also hope that you find peace and contentment, both in this life/reality, and whatever may come afterward, if anything at all.

I don't watch much comedy, to be honest. But I do like some-stand up (I watch all different kinds, don't have a favorite comedian). And as far as movies go, I happen to prefer the horror genre much more than comedy. It takes a special individual these days to make me laugh (I mean, truly laugh!)

I like your taste in comedy, so many greats on this list, did you know a company called "Black Sheep Brewery" do some Monty Python themed beers? I personally have several bottles of Holy Grail at home A golden ale famously tempered over burning witches, they also do Flying Circus a drink that will leave you pining for the fjords, though I think that was a short term special run, and a very naughty pale ale called Brian.

Translation fails are always amazing, except when they come in instruction manuals...

Why not both horror and comedy? (Black Comedy)

Braindead (1992) - An old zombie comedy which helped provoke the law restricting how much blood you can show on screen.
Dead Snow (2009) - A Norwegian film about med students who go to the arctic mountains for easter and end up fighting nazi zombies.
Black Sheep (2006) - A hilarious "zombie" comedy about zombie sheep getting battled off by a hippy called "Experience" and a guy who is afraid of sheep.
Little Evil (2017) - A Horror commedy about guy struggles to get on with his new step son the antichrist
Dark Shadows (2012) - A Tim Burton Vampire comedy
Cockneys Vs Zombies (2012) - A couple east end pratts and a whole load of OAPs take on the zombie apocalypse.
Anna and the Apocalypse (2017) - A Christmas Musical about the zombie apocalypse

(Ok, I will admit it, I love zombie films)

If you want just straight up horror, the last decent horror I saw was Marianne, a French Horror series that I REALLY wish was longer.

I do enjoy a good horror (or thriller)/comedy, actually. Heathers has always been my favorite, due to its satirical elements.

Happy birthday. *bday

1) What was the last thing that made you laugh (fake laughs don't count)

Sitcoms I have been watching, a mix of them.

2) When was the last time you made someone else laugh (people laughing at you doesn't count, this is about fun, not cruelty)

That has been a while with the lockdown.

3) What is your favourite comedy and why? (Film, TV, Cartoon, even a comedian if you don't like TV)

Green Acres would be first for me. I love the insane humor that goes beyond simply being a sitcom. People can understand Arnold Ziffel's oinking and things like that.

4) Can you do an accent? If so which? (special points if you can do a convincing Grizzled Prospector accent) (EXTRA special points if you send an audio link)

Only the born with one here, Texan country boy. :)

5) Less of a question, more or a request: Post a link to something that will make people laugh, a picture, a video, a silly song, anything.

For horror comedy...Army of Darkness.

if not @Dante ’s birthday day, πŸŽˆπŸŽ‚πŸŽπŸŽˆi’d have to go with peanut butter day, but a bellylaugh is fine for me too. but having a happy birthday is probably best!😊

Fun Facts:
1) Canada and Denmark have had a dispute regarding a small island they both claim called Hans Island that has gone on for roughly 90 years, and far from going all American on it, in the past 30 or so years these two lovely countries have settled into a routine whereby whenever they send someone there they plant a flag and a bottle of booze. i’d tend to favor a country with blue cheese!

2) The man who invented the Pringles packet was so proud of it he got his family to bury his ashes in one. i hope they buried the right container.

3) If you love irony, did you know that cotton candy was invented by a dentist? this one, i believe i knew.

4) The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans celebrated its 125th anniversary by giving away a $15,000 dollar presidential suite stay to whoever could prove they stole the most outrageous item from the hotel. i’d rather keep the item.

5) The US Supreme Court has its own basketball court called "The Highest Court in the Land". βœ”οΈ

Now onto the questions:
1) What was the last thing that made you laugh (fake laughs don't count) fortunately i find fake laughs harder than real ones, but i just can’t think of one at the moment. i’m sure there was at least one in the last 24 hours.

2) When was the last time you made someone else laugh (people laughing at you doesn't count, this is about fun, not cruelty) hmm i think it was this morning. it was my son on our journey to a store to pick up an item ordered online.

3) What is your favourite comedy and why? (Film, TV, Cartoon, even a comedian if you don't like TV) monty python and he holy grail comes to mind first but there are others too such as a tv show the name of which i cannot remember at the moment. also room service by the marx brothers

4) Can you do an accent? If so which? (special points if you can do a convincing Grizzled Prospector accent) (EXTRA special points if you send an audio link) nope, inhibition inhibits me for this.

see you soon. here’s some 🌞🌞🌞

Tysm for the tag @Dante & also - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :) *hug *bdayHope you have a great day :)

Those were cool & interesting facts, and I think that Iglesias guy is funny too I watched him on Netflix before also. I also think Russell Peters is really funny and also Tom Segura. There was 1 other guy but ugh can't remember who it is right now sorry. Anyway here's my answers to the q's :)

1) What was the last thing that made you laugh (fake laughs don't count)
Something my friend said when I talked to him on the phone a bit ago I think. Or it might have been something my mom said or did.

2) When was the last time you made someone else laugh (people laughing at you doesn't count, this is about fun, not cruelty)
Today I think, something I said to my mom. Aside from my sis & her husband, my mom is pretty much the only one who laughs at what I say but considering she's the strongest person I know I take that as a huge compliment anyway. :)

3) What is your favourite comedy and why? (Film, TV, Cartoon, even a comedian if you don't like TV)
Tommy Boy and 40 Year Old Virgin cos I think Chris Farley, David Spade, Steve Carell and Paul Rudd are all extremely hilarious.

4) Can you do an accent? If so which? (special points if you can do a convincing Grizzled Prospector accent) (EXTRA special points if you send an audio link)
Kinda, I think I'm ok at British ones but a real Brit would prob. think it sucked. Can also KINDA do Scottish/Irish but they both sound pretty similar to me. Guess I can kinda do a Russian one too but again not very well. I just kinda do them in a joking (but never meant to be mean or hurtful of course) kind of way, and I have to be VERY comfortable around someone before I could even think of doing it lol.

5) Less of a question, more or a request: Post a link to something that will make people laugh, a picture, a video, a silly song, anything.
Ok, I got a pic & some gifs, all of cats cos I think they are hilarious, amusing and just adorable lol :)

.... no one has ever called me admirable before....

I do enjoy a good horror (or thriller)/comedy, actually. Heathers has always been my favorite, due to its satirical elements.
My problem with Horror is that its so hard to find a good one, so many nowadays are just slashers, thrillers or thinly disguised gornos. A proper edge-of-your-seat HORROR, one that scares you and haunts you, THAT is what I miss.

^^THIS!^^ *rofl
You did quite well, you sort of lost it at times and went a little cockney at one point, but you did sound actually English more than once, (and Cockney is an English accent so I guess it counts too)
*bravo

Finally, thank you all for all the birthday messages *grouphug2
