i'm sorry that you feel embarrassed about it. sometimes we need to laugh at ourself when these little accidents happen. we all have those moments that make us think how the hell did i do that. i have and everyone else has. if we don't laugh at those moments we only feel bad about the situation.

Hey Mike, thanks a lot for caring and replying to my post, I appreciate that. I'm not embarrassed though, just don't like to be laughed at. I do sometimes have a hard time "laughing at myself" though for sure, maybe it's my rl friends influence a bit, anytime something goes wrong he just gets mad about it, hope it's not rubbing off on me cos I don't think that would be very good. There's already enough things to be truly "mad" about, so things that I do accidentally outta not be added to the pile.
Thanks again for the reminder to stay focused on lightening up more. I will try not to keep dwelling on how dumb I feel about it.
Hope you're well and that you have a nice day :) *hug

Thanks again for caring. Wish I could go back and just delete the details I gave about cutting a carrot that caused it to happen, I already feel like a moron about it and I guess I hoped maybe I'd feel better to give more details about it but I really don't. I do not like being laughed at and I did not think it was funny at all. Anyway I will definitely make sure to give a lot less details in any of my posts from now on. Have a nice day then.
I’ve gotten a bunch of kitchen (and art) cuts over the years (sans details). and yeah i did call myself some fairly bad things for not having been more careful, but in the process with these things, a small reflex elsewhere or a bump or whatever can make a quick movement do something unexpected. yes you (and I) do need to be careful but i also encountered a couple of funny reactions that did in no way make fun of me but did help to cheer me up. i’m not - nor are you JMG - worthy of self recriminations. i’d tell the stories but in the spirit of no details, i’ll just end here. hoping your injury heals quickly.

I give my sincerest and heartfelt apologies for having offended you in any way. I was not laughing at you. But I see that my very poor attempt to lighten did not help lift you, which was my intent. And I will not do so again. Lesson learned and thank you for letting me know.

grudge racing is amature racing between two people that are usually friends or family that want to compete. it is usually good natured but very serious racing. i want to challenge my son next year we missed it this year. also by next year i should be able to add more horsepower lol. also it's done at a track and usually safe, but accidents can happen at that speed

Aw ty very much Livelife I appreciate that a lot and it's very nice and thoughtful of you :) I'm sorry if me being honest about how I felt caused you to feel bad because that definitely was not my intention. With most normal people, how you handled it would probably be just fine and helpful. I'm working hard on trying to not be so sensitive. Believe me, I definitely do not want to care in the slightest if a person is laughing at a dumb thing I've done. I had a lot of that in my family though, one of my stepmother's favorite things to do to me as a kid was when we had a family gathering she'd decide it was the perfect time to bring up all kinds of dumb things both me and my sis had done when we were younger. They'd all have a good laugh about it and we'd just have to sit there and do our best to act like it wasn't very mean and hurtful. I know that was a lot of years ago but I am just sayin that's my delightful, wonderful and very supportive history so I guess that's why I can be kinda sensitive about this kind of stuff. Thanks for being nice though and I hope you have a nice day :) *hug

Oops sorry meant to reply back to this too, thanks so much for reading what I wrote and caring extraT I appreciate that very much :) Sorry to hear you've also gotten a bunch of kitchen cuts over the years and that you felt bad about it too. Aw I love to hear stories about what people have been through, good or bad, I find them comforting just to hear how each person tells stories. I won't push you for the details though if you'd truly rather not share them.

You're right about neither or us nor anyone else being worthy of self-recriminations though so thank you for the reminder of that, I will try to keep it in mind. I felt so terrible about various things in my life when I woke this morn so I think my mood, esp. earlier, was just really not a very good one today. No idea why I woke up feeling so bad but gonna go out in a bit here after all so hopefully that'll help or something. Hope you have a good day though and thanks a lot for your kind words :) *hug

In typical British fashion we've only had two weeks of summer. It was in June. Then it was gone. I need more sun, I'm not ready for autumn yet *thumbsdown
Ohhhh, Sunspots, I hate, hate, hate the summer - it's soooooo bright and hot (especially the horrid heatwaves that come n go)! - I dread spring and long for autumn (the prettiest season of them all) and the darker months. Blue Star's autumnal pics elevated my mood in a flash *stars
On the other hand, I do appreciate the summer energy bills, so low *thumbsup

We went to a beautiful village called Stow-on-the-Wold yesterday on our little trip away. Found the most gorgeous church door I've ever seen ❤️

And watched the sunset over the valley our cottage overlooked.
