When was reticent about learning how to tell time... my parents told me bed-time was when it got dark....so in winter off to bed I went at about 5pm...

As for absurd art...loved this when a curator just put a pair of eyeglasses on the floor of an art gallery...

Howdy y'all, thank you for the invite to the cafe & the fun!!! Cheers ☕ I hope everyones been swell! I had a wedding to go to today but I think it blew over with some of the mandate rules unfortunately...

1) what are you up to for the weekend?

2) what's your favorite fast food restaurant?

3) what's your guilty pleasure 😈?

I feel like video gaming is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I like to usually keep productive with chores, & work, but it's a fun little outlet here & there, I've felt bad I've been doing it more often than usual

4) do you collect anything, have hobbies or what would you like to do?

I unintentionally started collecting vinyl. At first I had a few to listen to, but now the amounts grown & it probably will grow way more haha. I play bass guitar, I've been over this before I believe. I want to get into a hobby a bit more physically challenging though, like archery had always interested me. I have a list of thing I'd like to partake in, it's just hard to get the funds to put towards such things 🙏

5) is there a thing, a phrase that you can look back on and laugh or be surprised about that you took literally as a child?

I took a lot of the things my parents told me I'd go to hell for seriously. They got pretty extensive about it though... it went from bible commandments to telling me 'If I owned anything associated with the Doors,(or any band/show they weren't sure of) itwould be a straight ticket there.' I've formed my own state of thinking & opinions now, I took a lot of that stuff to heart though. I'm not sure if I can laugh about it in full now honestly 😅

6) what do you think of these pictures below? I googled absurd art and toilet monster popped up!!!

Its definitely random that's for sure! The monster looks like something off of an out there horror movie poster, & the other is for sure colorful lol. 🎨

When I googled absurd art this picture popped up. Slightly miffed that anyone would think Miro is absurd, he's one of my favourite artists.
i love this painting Lu. so happy you posted it. of course when i was “growing up” i automatically hated it because i believe that my father was cramming art down our throats without regard to any of his children’s leanings. that is absurd! yet i still see an element of absurdity in this picture. absurdity sounds like a dirty word in certain senses but absurdity does in fact lend unexpected beauty to the world😍. so this is a very worthwhile day @Lane 😍. i think absurdity is very much needed here and everywhere to combat the absurdity everywhere and wherever!!!

Thanks for the tag, @Lane.

1) what are you up to for the weekend?

Heading out to the local shooting range tomorrow. Bet that dude is still sore at me for my for 'negligent discharge' last week. You should have seen his face :D:D

2) what's your favorite fast food restaurant?

Gallaghers Boxty House. Best potato pancakes I've ever tasted.

3) what's your guilty pleasure 😈?

There is no pleasure I feel guilty about ;)

4) do you collect anything, have hobbies or what would you like to do?

I collect designer perfumes, anything dragon or phoenix related to customize my own jewellery. Not as much time these days for hobbies apart from the one mentioned above but I did a lot of travelling when I younger and really missing it these days. Hope to fly off somewhere once the 'pandemic' has subsided. I'm thinking the South Pacific for starters.

5) is there a thing, a phrase that you can look back on and laugh or be surprised about that you took literally as a child?

Making horses jump over things. I'll leave it at that.

6) what do you think of these pictures below? I googled absurd art and toilet monster popped up!!!

I'm really liking the structural perfection of that creature crawling out of the jacks pot.

@Lane
From your list the only question I have an answer for is about Hobbies.
(1) Boomerang-throwing. Always felt it somewhat "magical" that it could fly back to the thrower. Rather than the standard Australian Boomerang, I prefer the Cross-stick Boomerang that has two sticks fastened perpendicular to each other.
(2)Cribbage game, the one that uses the Pegboard.
(3)Archery

Archery is hard, but fun when I tried when I took daughter to sleepover camp. Never saw a real boomerang, sounds so cool.
