Hey @Dante thanks so much for tagging me here & for opening a cafe for today! I had thought of opening one earlier but couldn't think of any kind of fun theme or q's (usually what stops me from opening a cafe, along with fearing that people will wish it was anyone else but me, yes my mind can be pretty mean sometimes). Anyway here's my reply to the q's, tried to answer all of them, hope you and everyone else has a nice day

Emoji Drawing Table:

1) What interesting Emoji's do you feel are usually or always missing from emoji banks? (pained smile, ennui, existential confusion etc)
I wish they went further to the extreme with their expressions, a lot of them especially these days are just too goofy to feel very effective to use.

2) What is your favourite emoji?
It's diff on diff. sites, but the ones I like the most here are:

Lol mine would prob. just be a rainbow neutral expression one, or maybe one with no mouth like hello kitty or something. I'd definitely want it to be different but still cool and fun. Sorry want to answer the rest of the q's & also I'd be uncomfortable to post something I drew and not get any positive comments about it (not saying that would happen, just that I don't feel strong enough to risk that right now)

1) What little trinket or keepsake do you treasure and why?
Lol! It's hilarious that this question is in the singular form because omfg I have far more than "one" trinket. Some of my faves are my mini tarot deck, mini deck of uno cards, mini regular playing cards (these are all VERY small lol), my tiny book, little pink bunnies and mini russian nesting dolls. Really love all my squishmallows and my reversible octopuses too.

2) Is there a person you treasure? Tell us about them (no need to name names if they are on SF)
Yup, some I've met and some I never did but that I can tell are really awesome people. There's 3 in real life, and 3 that I've never met in real life. I treasure them for many reasons. They are strong, brave, inspiring, generous, awesome, amazing, stylish, creative, funny, smart, kind, caring, sincere, accepting and have good hearts

3) Do you have a place you hold close to your heart? This can be as large as a country or as small as a favourite park bench.
Yup, my bed. When you don't have a proper one for 6 years then when you have one again the gratitude is infinite, least it sure is for me! Every day I have a bed and my own room I am very glad and grateful that's for sure.

4) Is there any music or entertainment you treasure? Something with a special meaning to you?
Music - ABBA and some Madonna too, love the energy of both.
Entertainment - RuPaul's drag race and the all stars one cos I love the outfits, hair, makeup, a lot of the songs they have, the lip syncing and a lot of the other things they do on it. It's a very fun show, I highly recommend it

5) Do you own any actual treasure? Doubloons, precious gems, where did you bury it?
Lol! Good one. Nah. No gems, diamonds or any other kinds of special rich person types of things like that for me. It's ok though, I know I'm a worthy person and definitely deserving of being given lots of those kinds of things.

1) What is your favourite Ice Cream?
Chocolate peanut butter. Lol I didn't know there was an "ice cream month" that's awesome. Every month (every day, really, lol) is ice cream month to me but cool to know there's an actual "official" one too lol :p

2) What is your LEAST favourite Ice Cream? (the "why did they MAKE this? kind)
Black licorice cos it's very gross imo.

3) How often do you eat Ice Cream?
Too often. Not "daily" but pretty close. Been trying to cut back though cos I definitely have some weight I need to lose. It's one of the only sweet things I ever eat though aside from chocolate and sometimes cookies.

4) Do you prefer Ice Cream or Ice Lollies?
Ice cream.

5) What was your strangest Ice Cream Concoction? (Mine was the Ice Cream Toastie)
Ok I did a search, never tried any of these and definitely NEVER would (cos they sound utterly disgusting lol) but here's some of the weirdest/oddest ones I found:
- Mustard
- Pizza
- Chicken wing
- Ketchup (there's also "tomato" which sounds like it'd basically be the same thing lol)
- Garlic
- Pickle
- Avocado (there's also "chocolate" avocado, ewww lol)
- Oyster
- Salad
- Corn on the cob
- Macaroni and cheese

On a lake fishing or anywhere in nature.

Any music that makes me feel something classic rock, blues, and traditional country are what I treasure most.

I'll let you know when I find the motherload of treasure. I drew a map of where the gold is hidden.

Treasure Table

1. Little treasure are these cherubs I collected from 30 years ago. My ex husband gave me one from the children on my birthday and mother's day, things like that.

2. I treasure my mother, she passed last year. I treasure my children and niece. They are the reason I'm here

It's kind of sad but I don't have any trinket and keepsake in particular. I have my daughter's gifts that she made me when she was a young child but nothing in particular

2) Is there a person you treasure? Tell us about them (no need to name names if they are on SF) My daughter who has been there for me for most of my life except during the divorce when she sided with her dad. But even that can be explained as she was 14 at the time. She grew up as a non-functioning person who at 21 couldn't live by herself to a functioning person at 30 to whom I go for advice.
3) Do you have a place you hold close to your heart? This can be as large as a country or as small as a favourite park bench. Since the divorce I have lost my special place. Maybe in the future I can find one.
4) Is there any music or entertainment you treasure? Something with a special meaning to you?
5) Do you own any actual treasure? Doubloons, precious gems, where did you bury it? Actually it's kind of funny - I took off my wedding rings which have some pricey stones on it at the time of the divorce and now can't find them. One time when I was out of work I wanted to sell the stones to make the mortgage but to this day can't find them.

1) What is your favourite Ice Cream; Ice cream. Period , Oh flavors coffee and another kind called Cherry Garcia (vanillla with chunks of cherries and chocolate)
2) What is your LEAST favourite Ice Cream (the "why did they MAKE this? kind) Double chocolate flavors; I mean chocolate is ok but for me if you can taste the contrast of the chocolate that is better
3) How often do you eat Ice Cream Because of my diet I rarely have true ice cream but I have some frozen yogurt bars that I have a couple times a week in the summer.
4) Do you prefer Ice Cream or Ice Lollies? I don't know what an ice lollie is but I'm sure I'd like it
5) What was your strangest Ice Cream Concoction? (Mine was the Ice Cream Toastie) a soft serve taco which is a waffle "shell" with frozen soft serve in the shape of a taco.

Chore day for me today but I will be painting some crafts in the latter part of the day (an advent wooden centerpiece for my grandson) and a snowman for my friend for her Christmas present. So I will have fun once the "chores" are done (or even if they aren't

You’d be amazed. i love little useless things that as i see it are inhabited by spirits! like the wood base of the packaging of kamaboko. or a sock hanger from a department store and much more. trinkets i call them sometimes. you’d be amazed how something as useless as this stuff comes in so unexpectedly handy and the least likely time. precious indeed.

no names… nobody at all… but that is not the truth of course.

a place that actually does not exist anymore except that it could still be a space within space but now in someone else’s home. and of course my favorite park a few blocks away from here right now.

music! i’m so amazed by the music on this planet!!!

Ice Cream (my favoirte of course) on raw steak sprinkled with finely chopped scallion and with a orange suzette sauce. actually i’ve never made that and certainly would not. its sounds so extremely yuck, Concoction happens in the mind. no need to actually go through with it.

there is sunshine outside and i want to share mine with everyone… so hoping all are having much in the way of happiness or able to find that road to eventually getting there. 🌞🌞🌞🛸

Not very often. If it’s in the house, the ENTIRE tub goes very quickly. Too quickly.

Depends. Ice cream is more filling, ice lollies are more cooling.

Not terribly strange: ginger ale float. Large scoop of ice cream added to 2/3 glass of ginger ale. Yummy!

I have a few trinkets, from childhood and grandparents I never met...Old Chinese wood and ivory dragon carvings, a small ceramic donkey from my dad's childhood, some brachiopods I found in the hills when I was young, my grandfather's glass crystal and copper/iron inkwell
There are some hot springs in Colorado and in Oregon that are special to me.
I loved the strong smell of the Texas Hill Country from decades ago, different than anywhere else. I don't know if it still exists.
You can control which nostril takes in and releases air without closing one off with a finger..just done with mental focus and practice.... a yoga technique.
I'm not an ice cream fan but I'll eat French vanilla with caramel/butterscotch sauce if forced. I can't figure out the reason for banana flavored. Summer seasonal fresh made peach ice cream from Fredericksburg and Lemon Italian ice are good.
Is a lollie the same as a popsicle?
I like prayer hands emoji and colored hearts emojis, stars emojis, moons and suns, paw prints
I enjoy most all music.
I treasure 2 friends of mine

An old hand school bell that was my grandmother's and when I was a kid sleeping in her camper I would ring it whenever she snored...she was a saint needless to say...lol...brings back happy memories

1) What little trinket or keepsake do you treasure and why? I keep basically everything. I always think what if I need it later? or something like that. Getting rid of things is very difficult to me.
2) Is there a person you treasure? Tell us about them (no need to name names if they are on SF) I'd say most of all, my best friend and my sister. I love them both a lot. My best friend is literally the sweetest person and works as a preschool teacher or elsewhere in early childhood education. She lives in Rochester, NY, and I haven't been able to see her since 2015. My sister is soo smart and recently got a job as a forensic toxicologist in Richmond, VA. The last time I saw her was in 2019 after I graduated with my bachelor's degree.
3) Do you have a place you hold close to your heart? This can be as large as a country or as small as a favourite park bench. San Francisco is the city closest to my heart, and I also love Quebec City.
4) Is there any music or entertainment you treasure? Something with a special meaning to you? Older Blue October music. I listen to the new stuff too, but it's just not the same.

2) What is your LEAST favourite Ice Cream (the "why did they MAKE this? kind) The worst kind I've ever had was corn. They were giving samples away at the state farm show one year. It mostly just made me feel sick after eating it. I know there are worse and weirder flavors, but I haven't tried them.

Hi my SF friends. Hope you are all feeling ok and having a calm weekend. I have started my garden project. Pretty much removed everything from the garden and have a blank canvas to start work on designing it. I’m hoping to create a woodland area. Anyone here had experience in designing gardens? I’ll take any advice because I am such a novice!

Anyway to answer some questions:

I don’t like the crying faces that are available and I need something that would work for an ugh!

2) What is your favourite emoji? I use lots of laugh 😂 🤣 faces and kisses 😘❤️. The occasional 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🙄 and of course 🤪.

My favourite treasure is a shoebox containing baby items - my scan pictures, a lock of hair, their first teeth, first item of clothing they wore and their first shoes.

I'm lucky to have a few people who mean the world to me.

A tiny little village called Lakka on the Greek island of Paxos. There's just something about it that will forever mesmerize me.

I have a very old diamond ring and a string of pearls that my grandmother left to me. I wore the pearls on my wedding day. I've never worn the ring as it doesn't fit. I keep thinking of getting it resized but I think I'd be too scared to wear it in case I loose it.

Movenpick used to make an amaretto ice cream which tasted like heaven.

Well I think the weirdest I've heard of are mac and cheese, garlic, charcoal, booger, cicada, and pet bird. I don't like kinds with fudge sauce in too much because I'd rather have the kinds with real fudge in them.

A few times a week.

Both can be good, but usually ice cream.

Not sure about weird, but I like to put different toppings on mine, like: cookies, brownies, cake, fudge sauce, chocolate candy, or whatever is available.

Because I'm prone to being lactose intolerant, I often buy diary free icecream which uses coconut milk/cream instead and I LOVE it. I don't like coconut... I LOVE IT! Anything that has coconut in it. Especially icecream, and chocolate, and sweet biscuits, and smoothies, and all curries with coconut milk, and... I just love coconuts
