Hey everyone, saw there hasn't been a cafe posted for several days so just thought I'd post one today

Looked up some things that are celebrated on this day according to the "Days of the Year" site, here's some of them:

- Chili dog day
- International Tiger day
- Rain day (why this is in July I have no idea lol)
- Lipstick day (had no idea there was a day that celebrated this tbh lol)

If any or all of these appeal to you then feel free to post pix of them or just talk about them (like/dislike and why?) and here's some other questions for those who enjoy answering q's, hope everyone is well and that you have a wonderful day!

It's rain season in my country (by July to November or something), so there are rains and cloudy sky almost everyday.

Probably up a very tall, otherwise inaccessible mountain with some great views.

Anime's I just got into it. Watching like an episode a day is enough for me since I can't focus on one thing for so long

Surprisingly I'm doing okay. Just got back to work in our store since I really need to money to fix my bicycle.

A day late...as per usual...but Questions:

1. If you could be a bird, where would you want to fly to first and why?
I would fly to Switzerland and go to Zermatt where was so lucky enough to have spent 2 summers hiking and skiing...

2. Do you like reading?
Yes...but don't get much time to do it ...

3. If you do like reading, what are some of your fave genres?
I love biographies, fiction and non-fiction...

4. What is something you are really interested in right now?
Admit not much seem to be in a survival mode...just getting through the days

5. How are you feeling right now? for opening and the tag @JMG....
As in 4 just a bit stuck in the seemingly never ending internal cycle of depression/anxiety but marching on as I always do...

I love chili dogs and have fond memories of the hot dog carts in Philadelphia....

And as for tiger day.. this one is just sooooo cute.....



And admit still have a fondness for Tigger and Hobbes...

Sorry I'm late. I've been busy having fun with my mom yesterday and today. But she went back home earlier today so things will be back to normal now.

1. If you could be a bird, where would you want to fly to first and why? San Francisco because that's my city, even though I only lived there 2 and a half years.
2. Do you like reading? I enjoy it; I just tend to get into cycles of doing it for a while and then stopping. I've been doing it less often lately (except sometimes I bring a book on the bus.)
3. If you do like reading, what are some of your fave genres? I mostly prefer nonfiction, especially books about psychology. Though I can really find things to appreciate in most genres, as long as they're well-written. Maybe not intense horror or steamy romances.
4. What is something you are really interested in right now? Been really enjoying practicing French on Duolingo
5. How are you feeling right now? I'm okay. Sad that my visit with my mom is over. I didn't sleep much last night and have a headache, but I'm still doing fairly well.

1. If you could be a bird, where would you want to fly to first and why? -- hmmmm.... I think the Oregon Coast
2. Do you like reading? --- I like the idea of it. Gonna be honest, there's lots of stuff I want to read.. but Its hard for me to finish anything. I get distracted, or just stop in the middle...Its always been hard For me. I'm trying to fix that ha but its very annoying. Manga is the exception. I can go through 1 in an hour...

3. If you do like reading, what are some of your fave genres? -- Grim Dark, Fantasy, Post apocalyptic, Supernatural, Sci Fi
4. What is something you are really interested in right now? -- finding a better job/career. Getting my own apartment. Stability.

-- scared af. Vulnerable. paranoid and
working with my therapist to trust not all people are bad. Moving in with a roomate after selling the house. Sad. Mourning my moms death. Lonely. I have no family in my state. I'm alone...

My late response, I blew off work this weekend, I have enough money and need to avoid depression so I am going to work on a few different hobbies today. Thanks for the cafe @JMG and the tag.

1. If you could be a bird, where would you want to fly to first and why?
I would be a male Bluejay and fly up to my ex-wife's house and befriend my daughters. They wouldn't know it's me. The bluejay is notoriously raucous and mean but I would overcome that and be warm and friendly. They would love me and give me treats and talk to me and I would bring beauty into their life.

2. Do you like reading?
I do like reading but the last couple years I have not read a lot of books, I have many great books but most of the reading I do now is the internet.

3. If you do like reading, what are some of your fave genres?
I like classic literature, Jack London, Hemingway, Tolkien, etc. Recently I met a woman named Eva, her full name is Evangeline, and I googled the history of the name and found Longfellow's "Evangeline". I read it online and have declared it the greatest piece of literature of all time. I bought a nice old used copy of it, cost me $19, and Ill start reading it again today. It is written as a poem but the online version was not set up that way, it is a very elegant story. The book is set up as a poem and I will enjoy reading that better.

4. What is something you are really interested in right now?
My interests last a long time, not just a few months. I enjoy chess and made a chess board recently (finished yesterday), I am a wood worker, I collect Coleman lanterns, and I am interested in cigars. My brother-in-law is really into cigars and showed me a nub tool (think roach clip but designed for cigars) so I have been working a lot on designing one and may work on building one this weekend, I received the stuff I had to get online yesterday and the rest I can buy local.

5. How are you feeling right now?
Right now I feel good; I am blowing off work this weekend, there will be no consequences for that other than not getting paid, and I am working on some fun stuff instead.

Here is the chess board I built, I drew the board in Excel and had it printed at Staples and then made a simple frame and put glass over the board.
