Had an employee that somehow found out we were going to fire him. We worked in a warehouse. He moved product to all the wrong places for three days. Moved them from floor to floor even (there were 3 floors). It took us over a year to find all the things he misplaced. He got us, that's for sure.

Only in a very safe, practical kind of way like if it was to get information about something. But to do just do it in a casual, how is your day going kind of way? No, I never have cos so far just haven't had the confidence to do such a thing. Maybe someday though, I am working on it.

- not epic, but when I worked at Walmart, someone signed their name on a note that said "BTW, I Quit" and left it on the message board by the time clock..

What is the most epic way you have seen someone be quit or fired? Back in 2008 or so a coworker got both fired and arrested. He was written up and came back to work with a pistol, but when he was in a bathroom trying to pull out his gun he shot himself in the arm and then took off. I have enough gallows humors to have put it as instant karma.

Lol. Our boss was a manipulative, verbally abusive ass and my coworker, after being yelled at, continued to work for about an hour, then left a note scribbled in crayon "I quit" and was gone.

I quit the same place more professionally, but it still feels epic every time you leave a toxic junkhole especially when they think you'll stick around because you're desperate.

answers finally sorry i'm late.

1. most important in my life now : of course my wife and kids not only for support but also the love, and SF has been a major part of my life for over 2 years, and of course jasmine (my 64 dodge ) that helps take stress and anxiety away

2. what i wouldn't do for 5 million dollars : i wouldn't commit a serious crime or get married to a woman i didn't love.

3. craziest thing i did while drunk : was in a high speed chase without realizing it and almost hit a cop head on. that was back in i think 1977. the cop i almost hit was pissed and wanted me in his cruiser, he obviously would have beaten me. but the cop that was chasing me was a good cop. he gave me a break with a small ticket. he read off all the charges and i would have been screwed. but he put fear in me and i promised i would never do it again. it's been 43 years and i have kept my word.

4. strike up conversation with stranger : yes if i thought we had something to talk about. i have done it many times relating to classic cars

5. epic firing : years ago i ran the night time for a friend with a cab company. well his nephew screwed up on 1st shift with his uncle and my friend asked me to try him. i usually hired my own drivers but i gave him a chance. he kept screwing up and one night i fired his ass i had enough. well his aunt was dispatching that night and told me to put him back on, i refused so she fired me. the owner was really pissed with his wife and repeatedly asked me to come back. i thought it was funny and by the way it killed her but the only way i would come back was if she apologized lol

Seriously harm someone. I use the qualifier 'seriously' because I'd be an asshole to someone for 5 million. Many of us do that for free all the time anyway.

Me, quitting. When I was around 19, I quit my job at Roy Rogers by waiting till the peak lunch hour when the place was at its busiest, put my cowboy hat on the counter and ran out the back door laughing, which that day, left the kitchen completely empty. Then I had the balls to show up a week later and demand my check. When they saw me show up smiling at the counter, the remaining employees started applauding and cheering, which pissed off the new owner/manager, who everybody hated.

We are allowed 120 attendance points per year at work and get 1 point for every hour we miss. A young kid was seeing how close he could come to having 120 points without being fired. He had 119 points for about 6 months; every time a point dropped off he would come in 5 or 10 minutes late and take a point. One day he miscalculated and got a point before one dropped off; he walked around the shop, kicked a door, threw a tantrum, and two supervisors led him out the door.

I've never been drunk.

I will definitely strike up a conversation with a stranger. The last time I did it was in Chester. No actually it was in a restaurant. The guy turned out that he lived a few doors down the road before my parents bought their house.
In Chester the guy wanted us to meet up the next time I came and I turned him down. I'm not giving my phone number to a stranger! On the planes I've heard the stories of the stewards or stewardesses I spoke to. Not always. Depends what they're like.
I talk to strangers. Just not to acquaintances or friendly friends. I'm okay with strangers and those who finally class as my friend (that takes a lot) anyone in between I struggle with.
