In my country we don’t celebrate thanksgiving nor Christmas, but I do think thanksgiving holds a great meaning for it and it should be celebrated everywhere (maybe with some adjustments). It’s a wonderful thing, to celebrate and dedicate some time for the things we are thankful in our lives.

3. No. Give thanks for what? White people taking the Indians' land from them and killing them all? Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the people (and now canine 😁) that I care about, but there could be a separate day for that. The origin of Thanksgiving isn't a good one.

4. Hell fucking yes. I've been having to stock Christmas stuff at my job damn near since I started working there in early September. Before Halloween even came around. They should start the day after Thanksgiving.

Nope. But seems like a great holiday in the US and for the US. Though Im not sure about turkey.

N/A but I wish I had some cheese in the house atm, as would love some cheese on toast.

Its specifically about the US and so I dont think it can be international? Unless Ive missed something.
But would may be be good for all countries to have a day to count our blessings and maybe also one to rant about our curses - like a day for getting things off your chest.

YES and 0:01 25th of December. Its a great holiday but brings up mostly sadness atm for me.

Yes, I celebrate Thanksgiving, though in a single guy way. It's just the dog and cat and me, so we don't go all out. Simple day at home relaxing and feeling grateful for blessings in life, to include friends I've met here.

Meal? Maybe i roast a turkey breast with stuffing and sweet potatoes. Maybe a turkey TV dinner. No big deal on eating with just me being there only biped here.

Several countries celebrate Thanksgiving, it might be nice if we all standardized the day and could feel the unity of humans world wide being thankful for what we have.

And YES! They commercialize Christmas WAY too soon! It's all about money to merchants and that tends to make the true meaning of the day blurred. Walmart puts Christmas stuff out before Halloween! Insanity! Like Kiwi, I remember Thanksgiving evening after dinner going with parents and Grandma downtown to see the Christmas windows in the 2 big department stores in downtown Akron Ohio. They unveiled them some time in the late afternoon on Thanksgiving Day and it was quite an event! To my mind, that's a good time to start promoting the "spend your money" aspect.

1.) Yes, I celebrate Thanksgiving. But, it's just a small affair. Don't visit often. Maybe, go visit my sister.

4.) Yes! Christmas is promoted way too early! In fact, Christmas things are put out now. Seems everyone forgets about the Thankgiving holiday, and it's meaning.

yes I do, I feel like thanksgiving gets looked over more so than not. in my opinion that doesn't mean much they should wait until after the thanksgiving holiday so we can celebrate what we are thankful for

This will be my first year!!! I'm sort of excited and nervous, because I don't know what holidays are supposed to be like.

When you look at the history of Thanksgiving it's actually kinda dismal. While it's been turned into a time to reflect on the good things in life, that's not where it started. I think every culture has their own way of celebrating this.

I'd prefer we didn't promote Christmas at all!!!

I usually spend the day from sun up to sun down in the woods trying to fill my freezer before winter.

For dinner we usually have venison swiss steak, mashed potatoes, rolls and some kind of vegetable. Not a traditional Thanksgiving dinner but then I’ve never been a traditional kind of person.

I don’t think stores should be putting stuff out for Christmas before November first. I get sick of feeling like it’s being crammed down my throat.

I think the merchants promote Christmas too soon but as I have said, I love the craft fairs and the hoopla that goes along with it. I just don't see the point of putting out Christmas trees in stores next to the Halloween decorations. After Halloween is ok if I were to allow craft fairs. I buy things at fairs for Thanksgiving also.
