What's your favourite poem(s) and why? Or who's your favourite poet?

thank you @Raven and @Mato for opening the café and inviting me.

questions
1. poems and poets: im not into poetry that much. but I do enjoy some of the poems from SF because it comes from the heart and soul. that's why I write bad poetry in the thread (dodges bad poetry). my poetry isn't very good but it's a release for me and a reflection of my heart and soul.
2. mr. lonely by bobby Vinton. I won't explain. but i'm listening to it now and i'm in tears, thanks a lot jk. I very rarely cry but this is me and it does bring me to tears only song in the world that does. now I've bared my soul and everyone knows the real me. lol
3. I would love to learn the language of animals to know exactly how they feel and what they want

I don't know if I have a favorite poet or poem, I just like poetry in general and have written lots of it too.
Again it's hard to pick favorites with lyrics, because there's so many songs that I like. But I know there are many I can relate to or that remind me of people.
I have a book to learn Chinese, but I never studied it very often, so I still haven't learned much of it. But there are lots of languages I would like to learn.
It's hard to pick a favorite singer or band. I'd probably end up listening a million, as well as songs...lol.

1. Ha. I don't actually know the name or the author, or most of it anyway, but it was about a dead man coming to see his widow.

There's a funny story behind it. When I was in high school we got an assignment to learn some poem, anything, and recite it in front of class. Me being me, I didn't give a shit and didn't learn anything. But during the break before that class, I borrowed a book of poems from a classmate. One caught my eye so I learned it - about 2 or 3 pages in 15 minutes, recited it and got a 1 I think (equiv. to A). I was still able to recite it a few years later. Considering my speech impediment which would prohibit me from speaking almost anything just a few years before, quite a feat.

2. I like to say that Creep by Radiohead describes me but it's mostly a joke.

My favorite lyrics? We will rock you by Queen. Heh.

And here are some mellow lyrics I won't get into now I think.

3. Another vote for Chinese. Everyone in the west seems to be crazy about Japan, but I have more fascination for China. I was learning some basics of the language and what I like is that it doesn't have most of the grammar crap most languages have, like stemming, genders for every noun or even much of tenses. On the other hand the language seems way too rooted in context, which is probably hard to learn, and I'd never learn the writing. Ever.
