One of my favorite poems is Ozymandias by Percy Shelley. It's a really badass poem when you know the whole story behind why it was written. Basically it was written solely to piss this guy off at this party. And it was a very epic way to do it. The poem is also referenced in Breaking Bad.
No particular song lyrics jump at me at the moment.
I would love to learn Korean because of my love for kpop.
My favorite kpop group is Girls Generation. I'm not sure who my favorite artist in general is.
It's not technically a song but a piece of music called Weightless by Marconi Union always relaxes me.

Too many! I'll choose a short poem from Victor Hugo (translated from French) :
Tomorrow, soon as dawn has lit the land,
I'll start. I know you're waiting there, you see.
I'll walk the woods and hills. I cannot stand
Another day, having you far from me.
My eyes will fasten on my thoughts. I'll tread,
Hearing no voice, seeing no outward sight,
Nameless, alone, hands folded, lowered head,
In sadness : and my day shall be as night.
I shall not watch the falling gold of eve,
The distant sails borne down towards Harfleur.
I'll come and lay my tribute on your grave :
Green holly, gathered tight with ling in flower.

What's your favourite poem(s) and why? Or who's your favourite poet?
i studied art most of my growing up life all the way through college and i hate to say it but i shunned academics. i was born in the usa, but one year in high school i got a 35 on a report card for english out of a possible 100% yikes. this is no boast. i had (have) issues. but i learned anyway in discombubulated ways. so when i graduated art college i decided to write a book, you know i hated poetry all my life until... i even had a traumatic experience in high school when i had to recite a poem. nonetheless i sat down to write the book and at a certain point i realized i needed a poem so i was confronted with having to write one, which i did. that cured me of my poetry hate. but i also actively shunned reading literature/poetry while writing so i would not be influenced. i still have lots of catching up to do with reading. but the poem i encountered much later and remember is tiddly pom by aa milne. its spoken by winnie the pooh. another poem i read to my kids years ago was the caboos that got loose. we have the book somewhere but i forgot who wrote it. i love childrenās poetry i guess.
Are there lyrics to a song that describe who you are/or your favourite lyrics? there must be but i canāt think of any now. mmmmmmmmmmm...... maybe lots of unrequited love songs or lost love....... blah............

Japanese is important because i struggled to learn. its the co-first language of my kids. their mom/my wife is from japan. i also want to learn the language my mother spoke and didnāt teach me or my siblings - Russian. ok thats it for human language. but...
i want to learn two other languages. those are cricket and cicada. i started writing a poem in those languages/translated but got stuck on it. knowing those languages will help to finish writing it.
so thats my answers. so late i know but i just donāt get to SF while i am at work lately for enough time and fall right asleep when i get home.

What is your favorite singer / band ... there are so many many many. at the moment billie eilish comes to mind for favorite lately. sandy denny she was singer in a couple groups way way back.... one song in particular may accomplish answering the question below except that it also makes me cry.
Which song calms you the most? iām afraid i am not a very calmable person. wish i was. i plan to be eventually. been getting into mongolian and siberian music for the past year or so. it is a spiritual thing and that kind of has expanded to Latvia Norway, Germany, and more as well. the spirits are wanting me to be calmed so this i think calms me a bit. some favorites are the music of the following: the Hu Band, Olena Uutai, Faun, Tautumeitas, Auli, SkĆ”ld...
