morning coffee forums,

Prodrome is a new word for me. Fantastic! I read a great deal and am always happy when I stumble across a word i have never read or heard before. I like this one.

No plans whatsoever for me today. I heard some light chirping from my cricket's container this morning. Will have to feed those off to my geckos as soon as possible. Chirping means the male crickets have reached adulthood and once they start on that noise making they do not stop, and it will get louder and louder with each passing day. Ordinarily I try to time it so gecko finishes off the lot of them just before they reach this stage. Then buy a fresh batch from pet store.

I am exhausted because Tommy Tom was stomping, meowing, and otherwise harassing me this morning at 7am. He was hungry. Then he gave me loves before I drifted off again. Funny kitty. Loves his food!

I am off to take a nap. ttyl!

Busy in the cafe too. As soon as we opened we had four shopfitters from over the road reburbishing a shop come in and each had a breakfast. They asked are we open Saturdays but the company wont pay an employee to supervise us on a Saturday. We who work there are volunteers & service users as the cafe is an arm of the Richmond Fellowshio Mental Health charity. My support worker Lyndsey (she who I have mentioned elsewhere on SF) I asked if she would volunteer but she says Saturdays is when she & her boyfriend have a romantic day together. I proved I could work alone today as Gordon the assistant manager was in the office upstairs making phone calls and seeing clients so I reckon I could open alone on Saturdays. Five years ago we opened Saturdays but Brian (the then manager) was happy to volunteer.

Hey, Jason and Tommy Tom! Thanks for starting the Café today! Hugs from me and kitty snuggles from Star!

I went to a "strawberry social" at a local church last night - excellent food at low cost! Today I started reading a novel that my brother-in-law loaned me. Yay - no overdue fees if I hold onto it for a little while. The novel is set in the very early days when the French came to Canada, and the author explores the various aboriginal peoples' beliefs and customs vs the new ideas brought by the French priests and traders. So far it is really interesting!

Not much else new with me. Wishing everyone a wonderful Friday! :hug:

did some rearranging in gecko Gilligan's tank just now. When she first arrived, I put extra plants (plastic) inside to allow her ample hiding spots while she settled in to her home here. Tomorrow will be five weeks she has been with me and time to thin it out a bit so I can actually see her as she maneuvers round the environs. :topsy_turvy:

Hello everybody.. I have been out to town early in the morning to try on some skin products recommended by my ex classmate. This is my first time I ever use a skin product.. Lol.. Guess I am not so bothered about my own skin. Friends asked me to wear a pair of heels for them to look at and suddenly I don't know how to walk at all in heels. Roflmao. How many times I have fallen down because of heels. I am too clumsy. Ha.

Went to work for a few hours, then errands, then yard work. Excited for next weekend to go to see a long time friend whom I hadn't seen in a while. Getting ready today or tomorrow for the long drive to see her.

Went to a parade close to where my sister lives. It was fun since my niece was in the parade. Got dehydrated tho. Was not good.

Yep, in so far as the reason for the holiday anyway. July 4th in US is a much bigger deal than July 1 in Canada. In Canada we do some half assed fireworks and maybe have a picnic or something and that's the extent of it. US puts up a huge gigantic gun powder fueled cacophony for theirs.

Half day is gone hot one here been up did some grocery shopping earlier then just went spent time with mother trying to get her new call bell system as she cannot use the one she has
had hot dog on bread for lunch tired now
