As someone else posted, its just another day. Although I am hopeful at some point in this crazy pandemic, I can attend church services again.

In an hour I have a grocery pickup at Walmart. Ordering via an app and then just picking them up is the best thing ever!

After that I am going to get some laundry done. Thats pretty easy as the laundry room is really close to my apartment.

Then do some reading and work on crochet/knitting some Christmas presents. Christmas will be here before I know it!

First day of life. To learn what it was like compared to now.

Outsider with a couple of outsider friends (both of whom may have succumbed to depression).

When are you happiest?
Occasionally there are moments of pure bliss that come out of nowhere, but unfortunately these tend to be extinguished quickly. Wish I had a way to bring them on.

Can't really think of any...

Live in a house by the beach on Nantucket just reading and walking on the beach with no worries of money and not work

If you could re-do one day in your life, what would it be and why?
Can't really think of one in particular...but more of a long time period kind of thing---not acquiescing to my father's wishes for my parents to not meet meet my husband as he said it would be upsetting to my mother...so they both passed having never met him despite being married 20 years----long story....

What was your high school experience like?
I went to a small all girls k-12 school so high school was basically no different as was with the same 31 girls in my class...cliques etc were established in middle school and basically never changed...it was a very good school and so have mostly happy pleasant memories...

When are you happiest?
Early mornings when am alone just drinking my coffee and simply just being...before the day begins with obligations, tasks, responsibilities...think it harkens back to be an only child and relishing my alone time.

What is one childhood superstition or fear you've never told anyone? ???

If you could do anything for the rest of your life, what would it be? Creative writing.

If you could re-do one day in your life, what would it be and why? I wouldn't. I do believe things happen the way they do for a reason (in the sequence of my life). Re-doing one day would impact other days one way or another.

What was your high school experience like? Lonely. I was depressed and confused.

When are you happiest? When I'm around my family, especially my young nieces and nephews.

Not up to much today, my weekend has been good, have learned some extremely important things about myself I'm glad to say. Hope yours has been good too.
Of those 3 drinks I'd pick the first one w/ the cherry cos it looks like a Shirley Temple which I love a lot, so yummy!
The highlight of my week will prob. sound a bit sad but I don't really care, it was Wed when I went out and printed out some pix of some things and then when I got home arranged them how I wanted in my room. I really enjoy doing things like that.

Go to California every week or month at least and hang out at the places I care most about there and oh also get to visit Mark Hamill and be friends with him, I'd love that VERY much!
I'd have enough $ to go and do all the shopping I wanted and live wherever I wanted also of course, that'd be perfect

If you could re-do one day in your life, what would it be and why?
The day I quit my job that I'd had for over 7 years because it was not a very wise decision. I would definitely have done it in a much more mature way that is for sure.

What was your high school experience like?
Confusing and stressful. I went to 3 diff. high schools in 5 years so that didn't help matters any. At least I wasn't bullied or any nonsense like that. I was a pretty major loner overall. I had a couple friends though at least. Coulda been a lot worse that's for sure.

When are you happiest?
When I can watch Star Wars with my friend, when I'm reading, sitting with my cat, eating something yummy, safe at home or driving with someone, having a good/interesting conversation with someone, playing games, looking at pix of things and people I love and also when I can see and talk to the people I care most about.

Earwax is actually a type of sweat! yikes i read this is sweet and now all i can say is NO NO NO and Nope!!!

The tongue is covered in about 8,000 taste-buds, each containing up to 100 cells helping you taste your food! its a well known fact that extraterrestrials love to taste tasty tastes!

You produce about 40,000 liters of spit in your lifetime. Or to put it another way, enough spit to fill around five hundred bathtubs – yuck! i believe this and i wish that the so many in this world would not share it will us all by spitting on the ground. its not necessary and its not nice.

The only muscle that never tires is the heart. sadly the heart may not tire but it feels tired anyway. 😢

So what was the highlight of your week? the week’s highlight was when my mailorder Rxs arrived. I was just worrying that they’d get stuck somewhere in the silly bureaucracy again.

What emotion do you experience the most? i’ve been testing out happy lately, but since i’d say its still the beta version, i’ll still have to go with dissociation aka feelings not known or sometimes great frustration.

What is one childhood superstition or fear you've never told anyone? i think i had none.

What was your high school experience like? me by myself mostly until a friend presented himself so we hung out and smoked pot, listened to blood sweat and tears; laura nyro and bruce springsteen and then transferred to a less oppressive private high school (along with the girl next door too!). but i was still mostly by myself anyway... oh yeah also... in the first HS, i was so introverted that i would have been no fun to beat up by the hoods for having long hair so at their girlfriends request they left me alone.

When are you happiest? lately when i’m looking forward to my future and the happiness mentioned above.

Hi everyone. Sundays nearly over for me. Been an overwhelming sort of day. Just too much on my plate and not enough hours in the day to do it. Hopefully things will calm down soon so I can get some perspective back.

What emotion do you experience the most?
Stress

What is one childhood superstition or fear you've never told anyone?
I remember accidentally watching a bull fight in a bull ring where I saw the end when they slaughtered the bull. I must have been quite young and was supposed to be in bed. I had nightmares for weeks. It still haunts me.

If you could do anything for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Idk, sleep perhaps. I can’t see past today let alone the rest of my life.

If you could re-do one day in your life, what would it be and why?
Going to take some inspiration from an earlier post. I would love to go back to my grandmothers flat and spend time with her. She passed when I was 16 but she was a lovely kind and understanding lady.

What was your high school experience like?
I was a loner. Like it seems many others were on here. I wonder if that says something? I was bullied and I got the impression most people thought I was odd. No self confidence and I was moved from class to class where I made no friends. Wonder what’s the matter with me and why no one liked me. Things haven’t changed much now either.

When are you happiest?
Idk. I’m working on it. Maybe one day.

Facing several attackers would be a problem for extremely good fighters, even, you can't go to the ground and basically have to be able to put them to sleep before someone manages to grab you. If they grab you and they are two or three guys, it's over.

We were teenagers and I could take a punch like it wasnt there, I had been taking punches since I was maybe 3 years old from my brother and my dad, all I lacked was experience fighting back which I gained at school.

When a couple teenagers gang up on the shy nerd and he doesnt even flinch at a punch and just charges with wrath in his eyes, they forget tactics fast, even among adults if you think you have the advantage and the opponent just charges at you like "Ima KILL you", you tend to panic a bit. Its about which lines you are willing to cross in hurting your opponent, and how much damage you're willing to take, if it looks like the other guy will cross more and take more than you are prepared to, then you switch to defence, its instinct. I broke kids teeth, sent them to spend the day in the nurses office, and didnt stop until a) they ran or b) my body would no longer move, and by 14 years old they always ran first.

Interesting theory but i can't agree with it. Covid totally fucked up my sense of taste and smell. I still don't smell anything even if I stick a perfume bottle into my nose but I've got my taste back completely as before.
Or maybe it just doesn't apply to me.

Its not a theory, its pretty much accepted at this point, it is even diagnostically relevant in medical treatment, people tend to notice a loss of sense of smell by the effect on taste first. Taste in the tongue is very limited, it gives the rough idea, but most comes from smell, i dont know how you can taste normally without a sense of smell

I work in IT and I know that phrase too, I have said it many times. "It isnt possible" usually means "It obviously IS possible, but I dont know enough yet to figure out how"

Hey all. I've had a pretty good weekend. Slept a ton yesterday to make up for not being able to sleep very well at the sleep lab. But it kinda sucked because I got out of my sleep test around 5 am and the first bus that was supposed to come never showed up. So I was waiting around outside until 8 am when the next bus came (and the weather was a bit above freezing with me having neglected to bring my winter coat because I thought my heavy hoodie would be enough). I probably could've hung out at Denny's for a while, but if I was looking to spend more money I could've just Ubered home. I did stop by my favorite pub to get some takeout brunch though. Today I watched Spurs beat Arsenal 2-0 and had a meeting with my advisor and another professor, who were both really excited about my data. I'm working on getting caught up with my Youtube subscriptions because I'm at least 2 days behind currently. Have gotten behind with a lot of things due to moving and not having wifi for a few days. That is also one of the reasons I haven't checked in to the Cafe recently.

I used to think something bad would happen to me if I didn't have a few particular stuffed toys under the covers at the foot of my bed.

The day in my sophomore year of high school that I lost my temper and did something bad to someone. I would try to go back and keep my cool in the situation. I didn't get in as much trouble as I should have, but the thought of it still bothers me on occasion.
What was your high school experience like?
People mostly didn't like me and I had a reputation for being weird and annoying, which was kind of my fault. Things started to get better when I made an effort to be nicer to people. Middle school was much worse than high school, even though my best friend lived nearby at that point.
When are you happiest?
The happiest I remember being is on a boat on Lake Geneva with my French host family. So idk if it was the people, the place, or the boat. But doing something like that again would be cool.

that seems so similar to my sleep lab experience. were you supposed to be asleep or awake? they decided my problem was apnea and kicked me out kind of abruptly. but they only got about a tenth of the actual story. hoping yours went better...
