Thanks for opening up @Woowoo the breakfasts looks amazing. Maybe some coffee to go with it as well?
Been trying to think what was the first single I bought. @Woowoo , for the life of me I honestly can't remember at the moment  all I know, it must have been something from the early 80's.

Yesterday I was looking at the A Song a Day thread and one of the songs that had been posted was the first song I bought as a single.
And a good one it was!
I thought this might make a good discussion topic for the cafe, but I realise that some of the younger members of the family won't know what a single is :)
Especially an 'A' side and 'B' side:p
But I'm interested to know what was the first song you ever downloaded or the first single you bought.
I was around 7 years old. My mother took my sisters and me shopping somewhere and along the way my oldest sister wanted to buy some records at a record store. While we were there I convinced my mother to buy this one for me. I'd been hearing it on the radio and liked it because it was about playing in the park and eating ice cream:)

Hi Woowoo thank you so much for the invite - that breakfast looks stunning. Thank you, too, @Ash600 for the tag. I do remember singles / LPs etc but heaven alone knows what my first one was. Music is great though ... it’s power to calm, excite, stir, and move is timeless. Let’s turn up the volume and enjoy everyone’s taste. Have a good and peaceful Thursday everyone. I’m off out with my dogs (and head phones!) xxx

I have no idea what "single" I bought first. I don't think I bought any singles when I was a kid. Hell, I didn't really buy any when I was older. The first tape I bought when I was a kid was Whitesnake though. I feel really old now.
If it's any consolation, I used to buy tapes as well, I think the first one was Jimi Hendrix.

Thanks for the tags @Woowoo and @Ash600 - the breakfasts, coffee and scenery are all awesome :)

First single I owned was God Save the Queen by The Sex Pistols but I didn't buy it myself. My cousin was playing it a lot and I really liked it but my mother wouldn't let me buy it so my cousin bought it for me. Pretty pointless really as the only record deck in the house was in the living room so I couldn't play it without my mother hearing it...

The first single I bought myself was Kings of the Wild Frontier by Adam and the Ants.

First album was Kaleidoscope by Siouxie and the Banshees.

I still have all my vinyls taking up half of my spare room. I really should get around to buying a new record deck...
