Hey ET :)

I'm traveling to Greece in three weeks time (although by air rather than train).

When I travel by train from home (normally into London to see family) there's a really good coffee stand at the station (it beats the rubbish they serve on the train!).

If we have a SF train can it please have a decent restaurant car? I'm thinking one like this...

Thanks for tagging me - I love trains. Took the Amtrak from Seattle to Chicago in the 1990s and such gorgeous views. We had a sleeper car with two bench seats facing each other and it only cost about $200 each. At night they turned into bunk beds. So very soothing to sleep with the sound of the train. In the dining car we always sat with other people as we were just 2 (there were 4 to a table) so we got to talk with a ton of people. Food was good and not expensive (pretty sure a meal ticket was about $100 each for the entire trip including several meals). Met a woman in advertising who had a luxury cabin to herself paid for by her company and she invited us to join her for a while and it was twice as big as ours with her own mini bathroom including shower!
