Just drove 6 hours from vacation to home today. I felt alone on the trip but now feel even more alone home by myself and the two cats. tomorrow I do laundry and meet my bf's daughter. A little nervous about that but he likes me and the daughter is an adult and is just visiting anyway. wow - I never called him my bf before. He has dropped the "L" word 2x but I told him I wasn't ready. It will be a good weekend anyway. My b'day is Monday and I don't feel the need to celebrate as in other years when I was happy to reach another year as opposed to committing suicide. I think I am looking forward to the next year.

Gotta love it when you laugh so hard you can barely maintain your composure, Cody! That happened to me many times in my life. We need more laughs in our lives! In regards to the theme of this site, is it strange that if I could choose a really good way to die... it would be due to laughter? I still think that's the best way to go!

The new season of the Premier League is starting. This will be my first full season as a fan. For people who haven't read and don't feel like clicking the link to the thread I made here, I am a fan of Tottenham for various reasons. Spurs have their first game Sunday against Newcastle. Might watch it. Not sure. I know some people are upset that they didn't really make any big acquisitions (at least that's what I think they're saying. I am inexperienced as a soccer fan and don't always know what people are talking about!) but some people are still convinced that Spurs can be a dominant force this season. I liked the local supporters club on Facebook-- I know they meet at a pub not far from my house to watch the games, even though it's often pretty early in the morning for us here in the States. They just posted a Facebook event for the watch party for Sunday. I am hesitant to go because I get nervous about meeting new people and going places I've never been. I was thinking of asking my friend who's also a fan if he'd done anything with the club before and how it was. But he doesn't drink alcohol at all so I'm guessing he doesn't go to the pub ever (although my sister doesn't drink either and has gone to bars elsewhere with her friends and just had soda instead of beer...) I think I'll just have to decide whether or not to go without his input. Even if I don't wanna go for whatever reason, I could watch at home. Or I could go to church instead. I could maybe catch the first half because it starts at 8:30 and I have to leave for church about 9:30 because of how infrequently the buses run on Sundays. But I'm trying not to force myself to have to go all the time like my parents did when I was younger. But anyway, whatever I do then is gonna be my Sunday.

Not sure about Saturday.

Pretty sure I'll go to the watch party at the pub. I asked my friend about it, and he told me he hadn't known where the supporters club meets up, not that he'd been and had issues or anything. He wants me to tell him how it goes, and if I like it he said he'd come with me at a later date (it was a bit short notice for him this week.) Maybe I should get a little sleep because the game is in less than 5 and a half hours if my calculations are correct, and I imagine it is frowned upon to fall asleep at the pub. I just don't feel like going to bed now.

Saturday turned out to be a nothing day. I guess that's okay too.

Went to the pub, Had fun. Didn't know anybody but was able to enjoy the game despite my anxiousness and awkwardness. Had an excuse to drink beer (Guinness in my case) before 10 in the morning, which was cool. Might go into more depth on my experience in my Premier League thread I linked in a prior post. In case anyone is interested in reading about that.
