@extraterrestrialone I hope everything went well! I'm meeting my current therapist in person for the first time ever in a little over a week. I'm excited for it.
thanks Baywasp. I guess it was OK but frustrating too. it was individual and group but group was still zoom but since I didn't have enough time to get home I zoomed from the hospital. the subway was a different story all together! empty during rush hour and clean. so hard to believe! the world is still different. maybe different enough to find something good..

That does sound annoying. I almost had to do that for school last fall. I had one class that was supposed to be in person every other week then one directly after that was on Zoom, so I would have had to struggle to find a quiet place on campus to attend the class. Thankfully my professor switched the first class to online because he knew some of us had situations like that.

ok @RCee now I'm officially here. glad you opened and thanks for tagging me. ah I have fond memories of summer camp (as a kid). maybe I'll tell some day!! therapy and subway travel has worn me out today but there's a Costco rotisserie chicken waiting that's sure to revive me - a little breaking news and some kind of sweet and I should be OK...

Happy Monday/Tuesday, depending which hemisphere you reside in..

RE: Charities

I used to donate to United Way but I've grown skeptical of "corporate" charities. I think there needs to be far more transparency with regards to where exactly the money is going.

I do give a monthly donation to NPR and PBS...not charities, but I feel like they both contribute something positive to the world in general.

And in keeping with the random nature of this thread, here's the movie Alien done in 30 seconds and performed by bunnies...

As I live close to the tropics, it's just going to be 2 seasons, mostly: rain and dry season, where it's either heavy rains and cloudy skies, or overall hot for the entire daytime. It's now very hot at my place.

I don't know if this is an appropriate topic for this thread, but here goes - what charities are you guys most passionate about? I want to donate just a little bit every month, and I'm hoping to get my family and friends involved.
For me, it's my country's fund to buy vaccines, COVID treating stuffs and so on, maybe not really a charity organization.

Also Leo has been found safe !
Someone took him from a car in San Francisco and ‘resold him’ to someone in Oakland . He is finally back with his parents.

Anywho

Not much else to say today...I start summer camp and around kids again...yeahhh....me......

You just gave me an idea. We should host an annual SF Pet Show, in which we post pictures (the cutest ones possible) of all of our pets and make it a poll so that the SF crowd decides the winner :)

I try to donate to somewhere more months than not.
Sometimes it's completely selfish and others I just pick something that catches me eye. I just did boxer shorts and tshirts for a shelter recently as well as chocolates and coffee and tea (I think, can't recall) the month before for a drop in center. I tend to gravitate towards homelessness, youth, hunger and mental health - those just happen to be the issues that strike ME and I don't pick a single place necessarily.

Others pick a place that they love and donate every month though (people donate here to SF every month, even if it's $2 or $5) or have a subject they're so passionate about - animals, environment, kids, etc that they move around within that topic.
Whatever you decide, it'll be great, man. Everyone appreciates a few bucks from a caring person.
