Let's get this going for another month!

I'm super deep in a depression right now, but have been maintaining my workouts. Today was CrossFit, where we did "power cleans." New to me, but pretty fun. I had to keep it light though, super sore from the Murph I did on Memorial Day.

I have started drinking more water, but still need to work on that.

I have also hired a nutritionist but we don't start til July, so this month I'm just going to be mindful, and try to eat over 1000 calories a day if I can swing it. It's so funny. I'm an average weight, but eat so little. I think my metabolism is shot. So, here's seeing if we can reconfigure some things. I did A LOT yesterday because of the intensive workout. I felt pretty good afterwards.

What are your goals?

Live. My goal is just that everyday. Might be there are some intentions to save money for a new place to live and therapy.

My coach said my lifting is improving, and today we worked a lot with the barbell. It felt good. I'm also up to a 30lb weight when I do goblet squats. I was at 15 a few months ago. That felt good too.

Today I started incorporating magnesium into my daily vitamin intake because I think it may help me sleep. My insomnia is out of control, and I'd like something more organic to get me back on track. Fingers crossed.

I think I can do this. Cycling with my brother whenever he’s free from work and I go walk walk every afternoon. I’m trying to get into the pace where I can have confident to swim. 😂

All good things. I love swimming, but am very self-conscious in a suit, so I bought a pair of board shorts and wear them with my bathing suit. I don't know about you, but the public pool I go to has a lot of different types of people, and some go in the water in tee shirts, etc., if that helps. Swimming is THE BEST, so I hope you get to a pool soon! :)

I had an active week in terms of workouts, but so sedentary otherwise, thanks to some looming deadlines.

I did the Murph on Monday, then continued CrossFit on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and ran 3 miles on Thursday, and put in 5 this morning. I'm so tired. Not sleeping at all, but I do enjoy working out. So, it's good I keep pushing myself to do something active.

I'm back on my weight loss plan. No trendy diets or crazy restrictions. Just common sense. Plain old calorie deficit. I know it will work, longterm too. If i think of it as a lifestyle change. I want to be healthy. And not in pain (ulcer, acids reflux) If I can just build my inner strength back up. To say no to trigger foods. I'm tired of feeling out of control. So I'm going to legit try again. Its been years since I've given up hope.

This is exactly how you do it.

I lost 30 lbs a few years ago, just by making some simple changes. For me, the key was watching my carbs, but I didn't do anything dramatic or drastic. Just eased down on them until I was enjoying a pretty low carb diet. I've kept most of it off for several years now, although I've gained about 5 lbs since the pandemic.

I'm so glad you are doing this. Keep us up to date on your progress!

I had a pretty bad CrossFit class today. It was because I got a good night of sleep, and I'm always so groggy when I finally do get any rest. But, it was OK, and I was happy I went.

I ran 5 miles on Saturday.

I don't know if this will last, but today I feel so good. For the first time in many months and maybe even years... I feel good. So, shitty CF class or not, I went and did it.

Thank you! You as well! I admire people who do stuff like cross fit. Maybe someday I'll be able to too.

I had a rough night of depression last night, but made it into CrossFit and feel better now. Not great, but better.

I've started craving water, which is great. So I'm nowhere near what I should be drinking on average, but I've almost naturally started upping my intake and so a goal I have for June is to get it somewhere near the 8 glasses a day. Maybe 6? I don't know. But I think it's something positive I can work towards.
