Probably a bizarre title but I'll explain as I continue in this thread. Last year or so I've not gamed nearly as much as I was before 2019 and I find it hard to get motivated and at times I genuinely can't seem content in gaming. One of my closest gaming buddies traced me via Facebook to ask if I was ok because I had not raced in months (I was part of a F1 Racing League which he runs) and he seemed upset that I had lost the passion for the close tight racing I had with him and others, despite not being fasted because I could not understand set-ups and all I always raced hard and fair but clean in every race I ever had, but before I stopped playing we do a 5-lap lobby and I was involved in a few tangles and involved in a few wrecks which I really hate.
So last night myself and this guy was chatting and he was trying his hardest to get me back into F1 racing but because I lost the passion because I take some games seriously and F1 is one of them, One thing he asked me and I could not reply with an honest answer is will I ever regain the passion to race again in F1? The response I gave him was when you've played a lot of 1 game or series of games such as F1 year and year and you're mainly getting unsporting neanderthals who love to crash regardless of how clean you are the passion you once had for racing online in F1 disintegrates and you're constantly double guessing if someone is gonna take you out just for overtaking them and after a while in my opinion you then inadvertedly become a crasher, and it's not something I like.
Whereas now if I do game it's usually WRC and usually once a month for maybe 3 or 4 hours a time whereas years ago I'd game maybe 8 or 9 hours a day sometimes 12 hours but the other thing is is it good or bad that people I raced with a while ago who haven't heard from me in months cared that much to hunt me down?
