Monday March 26th Jim's Cafe (and book store?)

While opening the cafe, and I know it is a little early for me to do it since it is not really Monday for me yet, I started thinking, how cool would it be if we could leave some of our favorite books here for others to read?

Grab some coffee or tea and find a place to sit. The important thing today is to share the name of your favorite author or the title of your favorite book. Leave an image of something related to it for others to enjoy if you care to do so

Oh, I invited some special guests to the cafe too! Please don't use these mugs as they are reserved.

This also give you a hint as to what books I want to share.

As for the hint, its very obvious that's referring to The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings. Promise I won't touch the mugs!

My favorite book and author, hm? I haven't read a novel in a VERY long time. But when I was a teenager, I was a total bookworm. I literally had my nose buried in a book whenever I wasn't doing anything else. I got made fun of for it a LOT, by adults and kids alike. If anything, always reading helped me increase and improve my vocabulary and diction. Still didn't stop people from thinking I was a nerd, though.

At that time, my favorite author was Stephen King. I loved his novels, and my particular favorite book that he wrote was Cujo. Was about a friendly dog that contracted rabies and turned dangerously vicious. The movie was awful, the novel was better in my opinion.

Hmm...I like the Chronicles of Narnia series. Even inspired me to write my own series when I was a kid. Not sure if I have just one favorite, but I like those books quite a bit.

Awesome book, I got some others ones too by China Mieville - Perdido Street Station is the next one on my to read list. :p About Kraken: I remember having this awesome dream after reading a couple chapters in this book the same night, can't explain it too much without spoiling though...

hi there. @Ineluki !!!! thanks for invite ! my mind is a mess these days.i have hope but im also hopeless too... im thinking about lots of things that will make my life better.
books... i liked novels... not much now. i mostly like to read books related to my job and sthg meaningful. though there was these book series that i cried with and lovvvveeed it. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES .it is the book series that i fell in love with.i was my everything(so as the series) . i overcame my some fears with the series. the series was the love of my life! no kidding! it still means a lot for me.i cant watch like i watched it thousand times now. i cry with it. i just loved it alot and the book made me pause when i saw the series name so it started with the book

The only book I can think of that starts with S like that is Shadow Over Innsmouth, by HP Lovecraft. I don't know if that is any help.
