I have cancelled retirement overseas because I can't import my rescue cat overseas....again, my family and friends are totally questioning my sanity.

I have pets as well and I love them very much. we spoil them and couldn't bear for them to suffer. but if I had a chance to live in bali I would reconsider the cat. is there any way you can find him a home as good as yours that will give him plenty of love and care? make sure the cat is happy and you can be happy also. just a suggestion. mike

don't we all go through that type of thinking sometimes. of course you could live and be in bad shape so I wouldn't hope for that. and as you know eventually those thoughts go and you enjoy things in life again. we still suffer our personal issues pain, depression etc. but we learn to live with our issues and look for the joys in life.
I think of it nightly but only for a few min. at most usually because I learned how to redirect my thoughts. sometimes its more serious like tonight but I always get through it and so can you, you are a strong person, stronger than you think. and you always have us/me if you're hurting, nobody suffers alone and you know you can message me anytime what's private stays private with me. I hope you feel better soon. mike
It just started at an unusually (?) young age and never really left. But yes, a lot of the time things are ok. I dunno, this thread just made me think back to how i felt as a kid.

I only felt suicidal once when I was younger. I did something but it wouldn.t have done the job(I didn't know at the time) I can't say what because of policy. I was around 27 but I knew the chief of police well so I got taken home and watched by my wife. I didn't get that way again until about 15 years ago. it's all due to pain for me but I can't stop fighting, and I've won everytime so far lol. can you pinpoint why it started for you and is it the same thing now? if we know why it's a little easier to fight. mike

i don't know really, it was just a feeling of not belonging somehow and not feeling others really cared either. Probably not a good start! The rest of my life, yes I can completely understand the reasoning through bad life experiences.

You're fighter mike and the world is a better place because of it *hug

If you could be frozen in time and then wake up in 100 years would you do that? Just completely hit pause on everything and then wake up a hundred years from now?

I was thinking it would be lonely so I'd love to do it with someone.... But maybe not alone. (Though I like my life. If I didn't I might be completely info that)

I would do it in a second, no second thoughts no regrets. I hope the wife would come with me but if she doesn't want to become a human popsicle, i'd gently kiss her on the forehead, and say good bye. in a hundred years they might be able to make me well again and cure the pain as well, if not back in the freezer I go for another 100 years lol mike

Instead of retirement in Bali, I am headed there for three months, keeping my apartment, and hiring a live in home keeper. More information: the stress and anxiety of a permanent move overseas has really messed up my head.

Hell no. Maybe if we took better care of the Earth, I would. But at this rate, I'd be scared to death to see what it's all become. If anything, if just want to pop my head out of the ground real quick and then go back in, like, "Eek".

At first I'd be scared because of what @Aurelia said, 100 is maybe too close. But we never know, maybe at some point it will get better later... I'd be curious *bleh
