I realize that people disappear from SF all the time. usually there are two explanations. 1. somebody didn't survive but this is a suicide site. it's never easy I think I saw some that didn't make it and it's hard when you lose them after trying to save them. 2. we were successful, we saved them. they feel better and move on. I like it if people stay but the most important thing is that we helped them, we saved them. we can never know for sure so in most cases I try to think that they're ok and don't need us anymore. mike

My closet door slowly opened itself even though all windows and doors are closed... no one is inside the closet...
I feel ming ming is here to visit me.
Have you ever had a situation where your past pet started appearing in your dreams, and you see them around your house even when you moved homes and after all these years it seems like their spirit still comes to visit you.
Oh and the were many times where my cats are looking at nothing, i try to call their attention but they’re not responsive... sometimes they seem to follow whatever it is they see and then just carry on like they didn’t do anything unusual... if it is my cat ming ming, my four alive cats seem to be in good terms with her.

Thinking that after a 'discussion' this morning about something in the news, that me and my husband are on opposite sides of the political spectrum. I always knew that but in this day and age, with what is happening, I thought he'd change and see a bit more clearly (when certain things are so obvious now)...but no.
I could probably deal with being on opposite sides of the political spectrum. My husband believes in god and I don't, and I'm actually pretty passionate about being an agnostic/atheist. But we've never clashed though about it because we're both pretty open minded about religion in general. That is to say, he believes in god, but dislikes organized religion, so we connect when it comes to that. And he doesn't try to shove his opinion down my throat that god exists. So it works out. I figure it would be the same with politics. If the person believed whatever they believed and didn't try to force it on me, we'd be fine.
I am the same with atheism, and my best friend is very religious, though she also doesn’t want to convince anyone and we’re totally okay. For politics it’s completely different for me, it influences our lives, it influences so many things that I care about... If we are opposite on the spectrum, we would not agree on any of our values and we’d be making different decisions throughout life. I can understand, and befriend them to a certain point if we never talk about it, but it’s too important for me and I would not be able to shut up about it :P lol
Yeah, I get that. He and I do have different values though with certain things, and I'm pretty okay with that. It would be nice if we saw eye to eye more, but I understand that I can't have all of those things plus everything else I like about him as a person as well all in one package. That would be asking a lot. And he's a rare breed as it is. So I don't know, I guess I'm not as passionate as you are about things like that. For me, as long as you're not completely ignorant and a total asshole, we're good.
Yeah, I think we all have some values that we can’t live with. And I said if they are opposite to me. If they are just different, well, no one in my life is in the same spot as me politically, I believe, and I still love some people and don’t care about their opinions at all

I get you. I could not accept it, it’s a huge trigger for me, I get out of my mind when people even insinuate something, but I understand that it’s “harmless” and that you can live with it 
My dad does it all the time just to provoke me, though he’s clear about his opinions. I get panic attacks because of it sometimes.

Thanks Auri. I do keep joking that for us to have met on a dating website we'd have to have chosen the exact opposite of what we wanted! For the most part we have the same values but politically he's more that way and I'm more this and we talk and differ and that's about it. But recently, I've felt more angry with what is happening and the general political atmosphere that is more accepting of things that should horrify everyone but somehow don't. I don't think a man can fully grasp what the world is like for women. With my husband at least we can discuss it but with my brothers, I'm pretty shocked and embarrassed at the way they lean. Never really expected that but they are both single and I don't think anyone really challenges their views so they've got harsher over the years. That I find difficult.
Me too But these are not arguments, just stupid comments. A lot of them I learned to manage and my meds help as well, but they accumulate and sometimes it only requires a little spark, you know what I mean.
