Welcome to Jim's cafe! Today we have sent the barristas home and in place of the coffee bar we have set up a row of vending machines. You can get soda, candy and assorted baked and fried snacks from them. Why have we done this? Just look around! We have PCs set up to allow you to download and play your favorite online game, but we also have old school arcade games you can play (and unlimited quarters for everyone! -- Just avoid the Polybius console in the corner if you know what's good for you!)

i have been in a video arcade as kid but never actually played normally just watching my big bro do his thing.

3) What was your favorite game in the arcade?
probably pingball machine...if that even counts.

4) What is your favorite game of all time (including on your phone or pc)?
ok i know its stupid but... Pac-Man

5) What is your favorite type of video game? Strategy? First person shooter? Platform?
not sure its kinda strategy and shooter... boulders gate.

2. Not too much time but yeah, the big mall in my home city had a theater with an attached arcade I used to go to.

Thanks for the tag. I only played Pacman on machines in the neighborhood 7-11 a few times and that was way back. I enjoyed playing pinball...there was a group of us that used to play Go..time-consuming game.

Hey thanks much Ineluki!!! I guess in this case I’m the space invader! And glad to be here. These are some really pertinent Qs and let me just grab a coffee or something and a bite to eat and get to answering…

1) Do you play video games often, sometimes or not at all? well, to say not at all to me implies not at all and never did - but that of course is not true, yet to say often is definitely not the case and sometimes does not indicate that i have not for … yikes, how long? so i’m sure you can see where i’m going with this…

2) Did you ever spend any time in an actual video arcade? Even if you didn't play any games, did you ever go there to just hang out? (Careful how you answer, this will give way your age!) hang out! my job at the time was my hang out if hanging out was a thing at all. but do you consider the lobby of a multiplex cinema an arcade? well if you do that is where i worked and played.

3) What was your favorite game in the arcade? i had none! my favorite game to the best of my knowledge was never in an arcade at all and i met it way after a career change and on my desk at my new job so i played when i should have been working. it was called Crystal Quest. it is still the best…

4) What is your favorite game of all time (including on your phone or pc)? see above

5) What is your favorite type of video game? Strategy? First person shooter? Platform? well, see above i guess. not sure how to answer this Q but if necessary i plead age! i don’t care if anyone knows. i’ve revealed it before, i’ll reveal it again… here! 27 and not a day older (more like many many years but please don’t tell.

Fairly rarely for me. The only video game I played to completion was Freespace 2, very fine spaceship combat flight simulator.

2) Did you ever spend any time in an actual video arcade? Even if you didn't play any games, did you ever go there to just hang out? (Careful how you answer, this will give way your age!)

I do remember those from younger years, but like Livelife I was more into pinball and pool tables.

3) What was your favorite game in the arcade?'

Pong, so simple even a Caveman, or myself, could do it.

4) What is your favorite game of all time (including on your phone or pc)?

Solitaire! LOL. I still enjoy the board game types of video games at times. Solitaire, poker, I have a couple of them for dominoes and the domino game 42.

5) What is your favorite type of video game? Strategy? First person shooter? Platform?

I always liked the flight sim types just let me fly around shooting down aircraft. LOL

I play them very rarely, and even then only the computer. Can't really remember the last time.

I think there used to be one in the mall near where I grew up IIRC, but I don't think I ever went in.

RollerCoaster Tycoon. The original. Would probably really like RCT2 if I'd tried it though.

I mostly played games on PC, and later a Nintendo DS. Basically all the games I was really into are listed as "simulation games." Like RCT, Zoo Tycoon, The Sims, Nintendogs, etc.
Though I did have this Guitar Hero game that I played via an attachment to my DS that was pretty fun too. My favorite song to play on that was "No Rain" by Blind Melon, but my sister preferred playing "crushcrushcrush" by Paramore.

Tysm for tagging me @Ineluki and @Kiwi2016 Cool cafe, I'll try to answer all the q's but was never really into arcade style video games for the most part (rarely went to arcades, was more interested in playing with dolls lol)

1) Do you play video games often, sometimes or not at all?
I play some games on facebook and also have some cool fun "hidden objects" games on my iphone. I play Hidden City, Secret Society and Sherlock. Also play Chef Blast, Sudoku, Wordplay and Word Cookies, they're fun. Used to play Farmville a lot when it was still around.

A bit but was pretty rare as I said above, was just never very into it overall. If I'd had a friend who was really into them then I probably woulda gotten into them too, but the few friends I had were more into dolls and things like that. Also we had nintendo so I played that quite a bit. Tetris was one of my fave nintendo games, also Mario and Super Mario, used to play all of those for hours lol.

3) What was your favorite game in the arcade?
Pinball is cool so I guess I'll go with that. Don't think I ever played Tetris in an arcade since we had it on the nintendo at home anyway.

4) What is your favorite game of all time (including on your phone or pc)?
Omg this is WAY too hard, have played a lot of games over the years. Probably Tetris though, have always found it very relaxing. When I was filled with such profound dread as a kid waiting to be picked up to go back to my wicked stepmother after the wonderful 2 days on the weekend I got to be with my mom and sis I would play Tetris and it would help me feel less nervous.

5) What is your favorite type of video game? Strategy? First person shooter? Platform?
Platform, prefer to have a good amount of freedom as I play.

Used to play often when young(er), now mostly not at all. Lost interest (as in too many other things as well).

Yes, grew up during the "golden age" of arcades, when the graphics and sound were vastly superior to home consoles and computers. This need not reveal my exact age, but you can guess the rough ballpark figure...

3) What was your favorite game in the arcade?
R-Type. Also pretty much the only game I played there.

4) What is your favorite game of all time (including on your phone or pc)?
Castlevania.

5) What is your favorite type of video game? Strategy? First person shooter? Platform?
2D scrolling shooter.

2) I have been in an old-school style arcade, with tons of old games I've never even heard of. I'm only 17 (don't worry everyone knows it at this point) but I love old games!

3) Polybius is my favorite arcade game. I'm only kidding, those government agents would have me dead if it were my favorite lol
My favorite arcade game is Street Fighter, but I also like a lot of obscure Japanese titles

4) Good question. EarthBound for the Super Nintendo is pretty high up there, but I wouldn't call it my absolute favortie.

I can believe it, 42 is the state game of Texas although high school football players might disagree. LOL 42 was the go to game with my mom's side of the family but Moon and straight dominoes were also very common if you could not decide on the teams and pairing up.

I never really played video games (1) because when I was married any game I played the score had to be surpassed by my ex who never understood why I didn’t play after he beat me at the games. (2) I think too much and don’t react fast enough. I play board games though with people. Flux, Mexican train and apples to apples are my favorite games. I play sudoku and solitaire but I don’t consider them video games.

I have a regular nes nintendo, super nintendo, and a p3 I play sometimes definitely has been a while.

I used to love going to arcades still do, we have one original arcade left in my city.

God of war, Red dead redemption, Godfather, Devil may cry, baseball, football games.
