I can believe it, 42 is the state game of Texas although high school football players might disagree. LOL 42 was the go to game with my mom's side of the family but Moon and straight dominoes were also very common if you could not decide on the teams and pairing up.
Yes I like straight dominos as well ...I played more of that one in Arkansas when I lived there. I didn't learn the dominos until I left home. Cards games like gin and pinochle were what I inherited.

Cards were always popular. I normally liked 5 card stud the best for that one. I still have an old wahoo board here that got played a lot where people wonder what it is and tell that it is like Sorry but using ball bearings or marbles and dice for the moves.
