I would like to get back to sleeping more/better. Not an insomniac but waking up I normally am less like my cat and ready to do. :) I do tend to alternate on diet between very healthy but do splurge especially since my A1c is well controlled. The best exercise for me tends to be the laziest one, the stationary bike so I can park my ass while watching TV and movies. Going into the holiday season I can imagine things may be a bit less healthy for the next month or so with folks doing a bit of celebrating.

Three days each week I walk up the hospital's south stairs.....nine floors....this after my volunteering shift. I do it three times consecutively with a short recovery time at the top where I get a nice view of our small city.
Weather permitting I walk two miles in my home village, probably five days out of the week. In the winter it's usually not doable.
I try to get in two hundred arm curls with 5 lb weights every evening.

Living alone my diet isn't influenced by anyone else's preferences. So I eat the same thing every day. Powdered beet root, ground hemp seed and oat bran smoothie for breakfast, and two hard boiled eggs. And two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
For lunch: Brown, red and black rice with canned beans (black, great northern, red kidney.....whatever....but organic) and a veggie bowl....broccoli, celery, carrots and red cabbage (all organic...or so WalMart claims). A can of sardines in olive oil and a cup or so of blueberries and strawberries to finish. I buy the berries frozen in 4 lb bags.
Dinner: Sunflower seeds, almonds and walnuts......maybe 1/2 a cup or so, probably a bit more. And a cup of water with two scoops of collagen powder. I buy the sunflower seeds and almonds raw and roast them myself.

Since I'm pretty much of a borderline social isolate, Thanksgiving and Christmas are solitary for me and meals aren't any different than any other days of the year.

I'm still heading for my goal of cycling 1000 miles this year. This may not sound much, but I only cycle for commuting to work to save me from driving, and I live very close to where I work. I only managed 960 miles last year, but am on target to do 1000 plus this year.
And I'm keeping up a decent intake of pure water, and eating at least 6 items of fruit per day.

Wow for the life of me I slipped and forgot about updating what I have been doing. Left knee was fouling my movements so went back to the drawing board due to blood pressure readings being bad borderline hypertension made sure my doctor appointment was still on to get me back on track. And brought ginger root to chew on when my knee acted up. Verdict is still not in as i just started trying this on Sunday. Last month I also rediscovered how to boil the peel easy hardboiled eggs. (Dropping them in already boiling water is the easiest method for me) so been boiling eggs every week and eating the egg whites some mornings or for some snacking.

besides trying to make it work on slaying those pounds, been sleeping my free time away which isnt cool whatever i should be organizing and clearing out clutter in the basement for the weights and wanting to try to find an used stationary bike so I cant have excuses while sitting watching my fish tanks go through their water changes (it takes forever) I am 💭 of ways to maximize my awake free time hours during the workweek. So i can get more sleep logged in.

my goals is to drink much more water as i slipped and quit drinking water instead of only diet pop. Thats not helping my blood pressure whatsoever

Ty for tagging me here Champagne I appreciate it :)

I was really good about walking for at least 20 or more minutes lot of days over the last couple months. Outside in the fresh air too.
Been harder this month cos weather hasn't been as nice (lots of rain, typical of most Novembers here) but been trying to do walking on the spot inside for at least 30 mins or more fairly often. Need to get that to be at least 3-5 days a week which it definitely isn't right now.

Had been really bad about eating chocolate at least once a day or more, but since this past Wednesday (10th) I haven't eaten any and don't intend to til the 17th (next Wednesday). Trying hard to pay close attention to how my moods are over the next week. I think they will ultimately be a lot less "up and down". As it is, I think my mind is handling the stress of some things a lot better than it would be if I had eaten chocolate over the last couple days. Something I am good about is that I don't drink any bad or sugary kinds of drinks. Basically never drink alcohol, never drink pop and very rarely juice. It's pretty much just water and chamomile tea for me.

Wow, definitely impressed with everyone's discipline with exercising and eating well though so congrats to everyone for all their successes and sending lots of positive, loving and motivational energy to you to keep up the great work! :) ;)

Today I reached my goal of cycling 1000 miles in the year. Actually it was only over 10 months really, because I decided that it was too cold and dark to cycle to work at 6am during january and february.
This week I've also been doing cardio workouts from youtube, and also yoga and meditation. I'm hoping this will be a turning point for my fitness and improve my mental well being, and I'll carry it on through into the new year.

Thank you for the tag. I'm returning to HIIT workouts in the next days. I've taken a one month break related to the TMJ/pain issue...time to see if this kind of workout is going to exacerbate it. Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't. I still have been walking daily and some yoga practice. I lost another 3 or 4 pounds this past month apparently according to yesterday's doctor visit., is not my desire.... I'll try and make up for it tomorrow at the Thanksgiving dinner table:)

Thanks for the tag @Champagne which I somehow managed to miss!

Is there one for December? I did really badly until last weekend. Then I ate so many sugary things in the day I actually felt very ill and then got a migraine. I totally reached my max sugar level I think and even thinking about it makes me feel ill. So that is my goal, to get back to healthier eating. I think I need a detox! I keep saying it but I do need to get into doing some weights too. Feels very hard when the weather is so cold and grey.
