I'd say mine is averagely 5 and flare ups are a 9 bordering on 10. My condition is progressive though and the average is getting higher very quickly. :(

Today I'm having a bad day, physical pain is at a 6\7 but my emotional pain is at an all time high 9\10, to all those who deal with daily pain I hope we can all get through this together ❤
I tagged a couple of threads about pain click on them if you're still interested. and if you are interested we can share our stories of pain, successes, coping etc. I live at around 5 or 6 with spikes to 8 or 9 and rarely 10 daily so I understand pain and how much youre suffering. there are things that can help . mike

Thank you for your help and interest, I read a post from you where you explained your situation and I truly understand what it's like for you, I know someone with copd and it's not a nice thing to live with. My pain levels are the same as yours but lately I've been experiencing spikes of 10 that truly take a toll on my mental health. I think that sharing my story might help but I don't think it will change anything, I honestly think that I'm a lost cause. I will try and check out the threads you tagged but I'm not very good on the site.

just keep looking and posting, you are doing fine. and when pain level gets to 7 or 8 you can't sleep or stay still or relax for any significant time. 9 or 10 you can't do anything sit stand or whatever more than 5 or 10 minuetes. you can't think of anything but the pain no matter what you do. it's very important if you get these spikes to explain to your doctor so he/she understands how dangerous those levels are. that's when those bad thoughts come, be sure not to act on them, keep reminding yourself the pain will go down. and of course you can talk to me anytime. and there are a lot of people on this site that suffer as we do, so you aren't alone. mike *hug

Today went up to a 5+ or so, but it's about a solid 3 now. I'm good with a 3, 3-4 is really my baseline anyway.

Today's between a 7-8.
Spent about 3 or 4 days packing etc. The "big" move was Saturday and then spent Sunday resting. It's 3pm Monday and the strong pain killers aren't even doing anything except making me sleepy. Pain in back is becoming too much again. Still have to finish moving things from the old house and then give it a massive clean.
Need more pain killers but don't think the doctors will give me any. I'm so sick of this crap and my crappy body :(

i'm sorry to hear that @Kira . doctors are very careful these days on prescribing pain killers. is there any way to call him explain your problem and ask for something stronger for a week or less.
