The Primary care MD decided I needed to see an endocrinologist and referred me out instead of him prescribing treatment himself even though it's common and nothing beyond his abilities or scope. It's called insurance company driven and controlled medicine. I called 7 specialty offices and clinics today within a 30 mile radius. None of them were accepting appointments prior to 2024, the first being the end of January for a new patient slot. That's 6 MONTHS out to receive any intervention. He had warned me there would probably be a wait period but I had no idea about this kind of timeframe. And aside from that, now financially I will also have to pay towards meeting a very expensive new deductible because of it being a new calendar year. And socialized medicine schedule availability difficulties so to speak without any of the socialized medicine benefit.
It's not only an enigma, it's frightening and dangerous. So I took a January appointment and put myself on a wait list.

The US medical system sucks. It is so very broken. My doctor has no morning appointments until October. Local hospitals are losing money in massive amounts because of low Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement rates. The waste that goes on in insurance companies and pharmaceuticals is insane. It will ultimately collapse. Now if they would just offer a quick and painless death to those who are ill, they would save tons of money. And could concentrate on the young people and the rich.

my cat is straining again and he puked… i haven’t recovered yet from last time so i wont be able to bring him back to vet…

this is just too stressful like i dont even know what the fuck the universe wants from me. Why is life just a bottomless pit of suffering

I feel like I’m a bad person for not being able to help everyone and like I’m heartless for not feeling destroyed every time I have to turn someone away.
I know I couldn’t survive doing my job if I let it all get to me all the time, but it’s hard to let myself off with that understanding when I can torture myself instead.

the many times when the world hasn’t been kind to me and i dont even know why, and those many times were more than enough to really consume me and be a bad person, and more situations like these seem to occur, specially in the future and now it makes me wonder perhaps this is what the universe wants me to be. Maybe i am not destined to be good at all.

when my tom was confined in the hospital he had two neighbor patients as well… one of them died 5 days ago due to renal failure.

i have to hold back tears, my voice was shaking, from day 1 the professor has been picking on me every chance that he gets, even up to this last meeting
i have to stop my report and asked to be excused…

i left the online class, i dont even want to take the final exam next week anymore.

the education system in my country is extremely flawed, that students are unaliving themselves left and right

sometimes being in a good mrriage for 45 years can have it's setbacks. as much as i tried to hide how serious things are with me today she can see right through me, like when she struggles i can see through her. yea she is keeping an eye on me to keep me safe , at least for now

Yeah, except that’s a huge positive, not a setback. I’m glad you have her, especially right now. Don’t hide how you’re feeling in a misguided attempt to protect her, lean on her. Let her support you in whatever ways she can. That is the entire reason to be married; to have each other’s backs.

i know you're right and i do lean on her when i start to spirl but i hate her seeing me this bad off and her knowing that suicide is again an option, but i can't hide from her lol

i was petting my momma cat when i noticed she grown in some few white strands of fur where she usually doesnt… i was trying to convince myself otherwise but when i looked back at her photos even the fur on top of her eyes has gone lighter and i started feeling melancholic, these past few months my focus was on my cat tom’s recovery…

i adopted momma cat in february of 2017, she was already an adult at that time, her kids who are also with me was born October of 2017 and they will turn 6 this year. I finished school by 2014 and i remember specifically passing by momma cat while i was wearing my school uniform, and she was a teen cat mom by then, so she has to be older… she’s possibly 9 years old.

i don't know whose idea it was to make a life cycle the way it is. i think they should have us start out in life very old and sick and year by year our body gets younger and younger by todays standards. this way we can really appreciate things and life just keeps getting better. the only drawback is at end of life we turn into an infant then nothingness. but i think it's a better system lol

It has definite positives to it, possibly more so than the downside. Particularly the unawareness capping it all at the end with the fact that we are leaving this place behind. The movie they made of this situation was really pretty well done I thought.
