Someone said something that kinda really pissed me off. Can't say anything because I’ll be perceived as the bad guy unless I explain myself, and explaining myself would mean sharing very personal shit with someone already inclined to be hostile toward me.
Continuing off of this:

It’s actually happened a couple of times from two different people in the last few days.

Someone will say something really shitty or express a frankly offensive worldview then, while explaining themselves, express that it is out of fear of a particular thing. I will convince myself to say nothing and keep the peace out of sympathy for their trauma.

All fine, but then we get to the part that pisses me off. They’ll admit that the thing they fear has never actually happened to them, while simultaneously expressing the belief that others can’t understand what it’s like to be afraid of that thing.

And the reason I’ve taken it so personally in these two instances is because I have personally experienced the things they are so afraid of. So hearing them say that I (or people like me) can’t understand something I have gone through and they have not really gets to me. Especially when they are coopting these traumatic experiences as an excuse to be assholes.

i know i have said this many times but the pendulum of the opioid crises swung too far. almost all people that take opioid meds are very responsible and don't sell or otherwise divert our meds because we need them. but now pain patients are seen as junkie drug seekers. actually, the person that first suggested the opioid guidelines said this approximately " the pain patients are just seeking drugs, they say they are in pain and shortly after taking opioid meds they feel fine. so they don't need them." of course i feel better when i take my opioid meds you jackass that's how they work. i take what i need to function.

now the cdc changed their mind. saying doctors should feel free to prescribe what their patients need. problem is states passed laws doctors and pharmacies are afraid to give opioids. dea attacking doctors to this day and i'm not talking pill mills. so i live in chronic pain that most people couldn't cope with and i am very lucky to get some opioids from my doctor. i can supplement with mmj salve and edibles but they are very expensive. i fight almost every day to not commit suicide due to chronic pain. sometimes a little sometimes i get a lot closer than i'll admit too. i don't know how long i'll last. sad part is i'm not the only one. a lot of people have already commited suicide because of chronic pain and every day there will be more. and we live in a country that our meds are easily available but we can't get them.

I understand somewhat mike. My little brother was in constant pain. Despite his huge energy, intelligence and deep creativity, he simply couldn't bear it anymore. We lost him 4 years ago.

Sending good thoughts and prayers that the pain backs off, and that your doctor helps you.
i'm lucky in a way my doctor gives me enough to live in the 4 or 6 range but high spikes every night. so even though my pain is bad i'd be much worse without my doctor. i'm sorry about you losing your little brother. he fought as long as he could which meant he was brave

*blue:mad:*blue I got told by my doctor (that I've had for a few months) last month that he now wanted me to go to a psychiatrist for sleeping assist medication for the validly diagnosed insomnia. That's how nervous he apparently is for something that isn't even an opiate but it does have "addictive" tendencies for some of the population.... I take the smallest amount and not daily. It's inexplicable fear on their part.. And the response of the medical community does make a person feel like they are drug seeking even if that is the furthest thing from the truth.

i think intead of adult diapers or pull ups you should probably talk to your doctor. it isn't normal for a person your age to have these issues in someone so young, it happens but it's rare without a reason. it's possible you have a bladder infection or one of a thousand other things that can be easily taken care of with meds. if you feel comfortable for now until it's dealt with you can get pads under your sheets. i'm pretty sure it's something minor but should be looked into

Pain is getting out of hand
i so understand how you feel. i lost it last week due to pain. it's not only the pain but the hopelessness of it. we know at our age the pain will get worse every year and with the opioid crises' madness, relief will be harder to get. but we do have things to live for. you have as many reasons as me if not more. i have no doubt god will welcome you with open arms when he does call you. i can't say you don't have the right to commit suicide because of pain but i do remember that god is not supposed to give us more than we can handle. so when do we know if we passed that point. if you ever take that step i would understand because i'm losing that fight a little more every day but i would miss you terribly as would many others. try to focus on the good things in your life to distract from the pain.

i care about you my friend
