Taxi drivers! I get picked up at the cinema and there's two of us in the taxi. My friend's going to the bus station. I ask to be dropped off at my flat along the way. He asks "Oh, is it the student flats?" I say "No mate, it's the tower block just as you're driving into town opposite the supermarket." You literally CAN'T miss it! I guess he can though. We drive up along the road aside my place, I say "Just down here." Drives PAST my place and towards the bus station. I say "ok then just drop us off at the side of the pavement and I'll walk down". Continues driving, goes AROUND the bus station and drops me and my friend off by the student flats, where I specifically said NOT to go! So I have to walk back across town for 10 mins in the rain to get home. WHY would I be asking to get dropped off ALONG the way if we're passing the bus station to get to where he thought I lived? A minor annoyance and actually kind of hilarious but for taxi drivers, you'd think they'd have a better knowledge of the town and actually LISTEN to passengers when you're giving them directions.
