Went to the post office to buy stamps. I asked the clerk how many global stamps are on a sheet, she said 10, but they are $$$. I said give me two sheets and continued. But after I went home I thought, she didn't think I looked like I could afford it!

Now I am pissed. Why don't I think fast enough!

Eh, I bet they sometimes get people asking to buy them who don't realize they'll be pricy and then get b*tchy about it. Probably just easier for her to say it up front like that.

My mom microwaves popcorn until it burns. Just leave it in for less time, that's not something I want to smell.

Ok so turkey is 33 cents a pound in Meijer. I could get a whole turkey for less than $3, but of course the closest one is 50 miles away.

my older brother did that sometime ago last month... the popcorn bag has written instructions, all he had to do was read it... and people should stop the microwave once there's a gap of 2-5seconds per pop, the smell of burnt popcorn lasts for a while and he tried to clean up the crime scene but i still found evidence in the trash. Worst part is the scent creeped in to my bedroom -_-

My roommate says we’re gonna wait til Wednesday night to go food shopping for Thanksgiving, and I’m worried we might not be able to get everything we need. (We go food shopping at Walmart late at night and he has to wake up early for work tomorrow and Wednesday mornings.) I don’t know what he has in mind to get though. Probably chicken instead of turkey same as last year, but beyond that...?

try to go to a complicated boring place in your mind. like builing a small city in the middle of nowhere. where do the workers live, what kind of buildigs and which ones first etc. you will get so bored if you plan that out in your head that you'll fall asleep. that's what I do concentrate on boring problems...mike...

yea that's tough. I hope you have turkey and all the fixings and not squid kabobs lol. i'd give him a list and tell him this is what we need and check all stores until you find it. don't come home until the list is completed lol..mike...

I think the postal employees likely get a lot of numbskulls that don't realize that those International stamps are going to cost as much as they do and then when they go to ring it up they're like "oh shit, no I don't want that many!" People aren't expecting that stamp to be four times more than a regular one.

At the end of the day you can always eat something non traditional, right? A steak is just as good on Thanksgiving as another day. It's not tradition but traditions are just the habits of dead people.
Hopefully it all works out though.
