Yep, the glass actually exploded. I read about it on the internet, it's a thing, and I'm pretty sure it's because of the manufacturing process. I cleaned most of it, but there is still "glass dust" in some places I forgot and in fabrics. I have another shelf like that, I should consider putting some kind of protection layer on it like on phone screens. Furniture is dangerous.

Could be a flaw in the manufacturing process, could be a poltergeist as @Aurelia has suggested, or it could just be some funky voodoo going on
My sister is completely dumbfounded why she can't sleep at night. She takes like 3, 4, 5 benedryl to crash out.
Yet she can't make it through a day without taking a nap. And I mean cannot make it through the day and has taken a nap every day of her entire lifetime.
