My complaint is a very serious one.

I followed a new recipe for tiramisu today. It was titled "The world's most perfect tiramisu". I followed the recipe to the letter (apart from I quadrupled the alcohol in it) and it is far from perfect. It is far too small.
I need to learn now to make a gluten free version of that. I did have some amazing gluten free rum cake yesterday. I think it had more rum than cake, but ya know.

I was trying to get into the grocery store earlier, and some guy was standing in the way of the carts talking to another guy. His wife or whoever was standing near the entrance waiting for him but made no efforts to move. I guess these dumbasses own the store or something. At least they acted like they were the only people in there.

How incredibly misleading of them. I'd sue them for gross misuse of the word "perfect"

Anyone else notice how there's a crapton of people online over the holidays? It's like twice as much as it normally is at this time of the day. And it was the same on Thanksgiving.

Wondering if it's because people are extra depressed or because they want to say happy holidays to each other. I'm kind betting on the former. Sorry, you guys. I feel for you.

Yeah I have noticed that as well actually, and am likely to think it's more due to it being a stressful time.
However, having said that, good chance that there are more people here who others would like to wish happy holidays to than to those IRL

That list of people I want to wish Happy Holidays to outside of here is EXTREMELY short. Even those people I don't really want to talk to, but feel like I am required to. I'm kinda bitter when it comes to the holidays though.

Holidays such as Christmas and New year's are especially hard on people with depression. Many stay away from family and friends, ending up alone in a quiet house or apartment with your mind racing. It's this time of year that the suicide thoughts take over. In fact, the worst time of year is Thanksgiving for that.

I agree with you even though I have family some people that have families and people that are alone are stressed more depressed and my wife and I talked and wondered how many people will go between thanksgiving and new years. we can't save everyone but we can do a lot and i'm sure SF will save a lot of lives over the season. mike
