I can't wait till you visit Europe! :D
I have been informed that my attire is not appropriate for Europe! Apparently, possibly not even for lounging in the house!!!! I see nothing wrong with my clothing choices. I am currently wearing red plaid fleece pj pants and a red hoodie both of which are a few sizes too large. It's prefect.

When my dog goes outside to pee/poop and then refuses to go back inside. I end up chasing his ass around the yard (and it's a pretty damn big yard) for about 20 minutes until I finally catch him. And he knows exactly what he's doing too. He knows I'm pissed, he knows he's fucked up, and he still does it anyway. Well, from now on, no more going out without a leash. He's gotta learn to come in when told one way or another.

isn't it funny as hell when they pull shit like that lol. but since he's new it's very important that you set boundries now. how well you train him now will determine what kind of dog he will be. and he will try to get away with as much as he can for the first 2 or 3 months. good luck...mike...*hug

Yeah, believe me, I know. Not that I've had any children yet, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's probably similar to raising a kid. You know it's your responsibility how they turn out, and you just try your damnedest and hope for the best. But mistakes will, undoubtedly, be made because it's not easy. You don't want to be too hard on them and feel bad for yelling at them, but on the other hand, you don't have much of a choice because they'll step all over you if you don't. And my dog seems to refuse to go poop when he's on the leash. He'll go pee, but he won't poop unless I let him roam free. So it's like, what the fuck am I supposed to do? If I put him on the leash, and he doesn't go because of that, he's either going to go in the house or hold it in, which isn't good for him. But if I don't put him on the leash, he'll poop and then have me chasing him around the yard again. It's tough to know how to handle these things, it really is. But I figure, eventually, he'll end up going, even if it's in the house. And if he does that, he'll get punished for it. So hopefully, he learns.

@Aurelia the best time to make sure you train him to poop is when you have time like days off if it's a problem. and of course you'll make mistakes. he will do anything he can get away with just to see how far he can go. and yes raising dogs and children are similar. discipline is necessary when training but so is love. I think you're capable of both. the hard work and money you put into a dog is very well worth it. they return so much more with love and loyalty. although sometimes they just like to piss us off for fun lol...mike

He's right, @Auri He's been informed that he needs to put on clothes that are within a size of what he wears... and preferably aren't made of sweatsuit material. haha And no basketball shorts out of the house. Good thing he'll only be there a week lol
