Lol. It's okay. It was kind of funny. The customer left the exact amount she owed and ended up leaving. And I had to use a different register until mine decided to finally unfreeze and I could put the money in.

Shit, had I known it would do that, I would have split up her purchase into 3 or 4 different transactions.
Next time lesson learned there but who knew a new trainings issue learned the hard way

Yeah, that's how I seem to learn everything in that fucking place - the hard way. No one tells me a goddamned thing until it's too late. I was literally only taught the basics of the register when I first used it. The rest was learned through a lot of "What the fuck do I do now?" moments.

I actually did with the one girl. Helped her do an online return because the register only gives the option for store credit with those unless you do something specific. But then she ended up basically telling a customer off the one day and leaving the job anyway, lol. Sucks, because she was one of the ones I got along with the most (Yeah, I know, figures, right? The one that has the least patience with people is the one I got along with. Lol.)

I really hate it when people hold out the line

Like when they know there’s a bag checkup upon entrance. I wonder why people take forever to open their bag, they should have opened their bag while waiting in line and why do their bags have a billion zippers/pockets.

When at baggage center, people decide to check their stuff one by one, can you move aside as you do it instead of holding out the line for everybody we’re not getting any younger waiting for your shit to be done

When people pay with numerous credit cards for one item that cost less than a dollar. If you had cash - the transaction would have been a minute, but with that many credit cards it took 15 minutes to process it.

When people take too long to process their order or they have a promo that the staff doesn’t know how to encode it to the system, you’re holding out the line!

When people decided to walk and text and then stop in the middle of the entrance way.

How many people have i pushed and peaked over their shoulders just to make them aware that you’re not the only one in line, hurry the fuck up! you’re not the only customer, get off the line and keep it moving.

Why is my phone the right time on the screen, but in the corner it's an hour ahead? I didn't change it or anything.
Mine does this too. For whatever reason, it has two separate clock programs that display the time in different places; one that automatically changes for daylight savings and one that has to be done manually. And I never remember when it's forward or when it's back, so I don't know which one is right. So I compare it to other clocks around the house, only some of those change automatically and some don't, so I'm in the same predicament. I spend several weeks unsure what time it is despite being surrounded by clocks, and then I do it again six months later.

This is more of a "moderate-major" complaint, but I don't feel like finding that thread atm, so:

Work has really been starting to get to me as of late. The combination of the cold ass temperatures and my stomach hurting because of my Crohn's has been killing me. Second shift is the worst because I either have to walk, hope to get a ride from a coworker, or pay for an Uber. Today, however, even though I was able to take the bus home, my stomach was freaking killing me the entire time I was on shift. And it's a little difficult to act all happy-go-lucky for the customers when you feel like you're being stabbed in the stomach the entire time (though, I still did my best to do so). And of course, the managers are all like, "When you don't have any customers, do this, do that..."

"Yeah, sure. Let me get right on that. Asshat."

I barely made it through. Came home, and plopped down on the bed right away.

But I do need this job, so have to go in even when I'm hurting. It fucking sucks, but don't really have a choice.

A coworker today asked me, "Hey, would you be willing to switch with me for Saturday? (So that, basically, I'd be working until closing, 4-10:45 PM, and she'd take my 11-4:30 PM shift)" I was like, "Um, yeah, no." You have a fucking car. I don't. No way in hell I'm switching just to be stranded at work and/or have to spend another $11 on an Uber. Maybe if you gave me a ride home once in a while, I'd do it for you, but you don't. So you can fuck right off with that shit.

Besides, I asked this bitch a couple weeks ago to switch with me and she said no. Yet, she has the balls to come right out and ask me after the fact? Bitch, you're lucky I need this job or I'd punch you right, square in the jaw.

There's barely any daylight, I hate this time of year. On top of that dark storm clouds take away what light there is left. I'll be so glad when it's new year and December and all it's clutter has been swept away.
I can dig it on the December/holiday clutter...

I actually prefer the short, dark days though....Sunny days depress the hell out of me....I feel best when it's dark, gloomy and rainy. I used to have a plausible explanation, but it eludes me..
