Idk what it is, but often enough to be noticeable. Started a while back.
Ooh, just seen it was just in speech, then I think it's nothing but exhaustion or stress, (edit : ) or what Ash said. :) I just knew someone who was doing similar mistakes when writing but it was pathological.

What is it with psychiatrists nowadays being so deathly scared to prescribe narcotics to people? I mean, yeah, there's the opiate epidemic, and I know they don't want the FDA looking into them for "over-prescribing" anything, but goddamn. The bullshit people have to go through nowadays just to get a benzo for panic attacks and whatnot, is just way out of line.
That's what's known as defensive prescribing. Basically the prescribers lack the bollocks to do what may actually be needed less it be questioned by those higher up. Inevitably, they can't be arsed to potentially go through the hassle.

Then the people who really need it suffer I guess. They are supposed to help people, right? Ugh

It's just not right. You've got people with legitimate issues whose lives could drastically improve with a little bit of Xanax or Klonopin, and they practically have to jump through hoops in order to get it. And we're talking people who don't even have any history of addiction here. I mean, okay, I get that no doctor wanted to give it to me because of my history of drug abuse and being on Suboxone, but what the fuck is their excuse to not give it to someone who's never touched an illegal drug in their life? I can't imagine being a psychiatrist myself and having someone with a severe panic disorder as a patient, and just telling them, "Sorry, you're shit out of luck. But try this antidepressant. It works for anxiety as well...maybe...in about eight weeks' time."

You should see mine. She practically throws them at people to get them out the door.

Exactly. They do suffer, immensely. It took me many months and many doctors to finally find someone who was willing to work with me as far as that goes. He's not willing to give me the 2mg Klonopin because of the Suboxone, but hey, that's fair and I'm okay with that. The 1mgs still help tremendously when I really need it. He's the only doctor out of dozens whom I've seen who was actually willing to listen to and trust me not to do anything stupid with them. And so far, I haven't. Most days I take way less than I'm even supposed to. I just needed it there for those days when shit gets a little too extreme and intolerable.

Believe me, I've been looking for a doctor like that for a very long time. They're not very easy to find. And I'm not saying shady ass doctors like that are a good thing either. All they care about is money. But fuck, when you get desperate enough, you'll take it.

Bought a JJ's Bakery banana cream pie, but there was some kind of packaging error because it was maybe peach instead. Not sure exactly what fruit, but I've had banana cream from them and this wasn't it. I ate it anyway.
