you’re right... but if they already have reusable everyday cutlery at home... is there really a need to buy new ones?
I heard any wooden utensils has to have some type of chemical coating and since it’s wood it will degrade and get slimy overtime then you have to buy a new one
Unlike the ones you already have at home that probably has withstood time
I agree but I always liked using the big wooden spoons for cooking. they aren't coated with chemicals and everytime you use it some of the flavor is left behind no matter how good you wash it. and that small as it is gets transferred to the next meal...mike

you seem to do a lot... do u also do wood works (I don’t know if that’s the term) i mean a lot of men are always the handy man at home (that is if they really know what they’re doing lol)...

i guess it’s the new wood utensils these days that are made differently and not meant to last that long.

Let's remember that we accept everyone around here - every type of person, you guys @Shelly @someone123 I realize we all have our opinions but expressing opinions about other throughout a page or two of text is quite a lot. Someone around here who fits that stereotype or role is now sitting back and thinking "this person doesn't like me" or "I thought we were friends but now I realize if they knew who I REALLY was..." or "see? people really DO hate me, I should have just killed myself". We're not here to trash anyone.

yes I used to do basic carpentry when needed. I finished an attic in our old house it had 1 bedroom and a big living room. I also had to install a staircase and wall for the staircase. I also remodeled our kitchen including new sink and countertops as well as new linoleum..mike

in a way it is also bringing self-awarenes of some of things they may need to adjust. Because we're all flawed, and for us to be the better version of ourselves we also have to be self-aware, improve on this, less on that.

what we discussed was not a personal attack on anyone but an everyday fact when people like us go overboard and can't figure out why they are receiving hate for what they do

What you perceive as being "overboard" is just your perception. That's just a way of life for some people. Thats the way they choose to live. It's not a freaking flaw for Christs sake because you would prefer not to see it.

sorry if you're offended, but they also have to understand that being "overboard" is not everyone's way of life. Yes we all have to be mindful of how we act around people, the same way you can't go around cursing when surrounded by kids.
We have to respect each other's boundaries and what we discussed wasn't disrespectful at all rather than be aware that their behavior doesn't necessarily make people more accepting but resistant. We have to meet halfway for everyone to be okay with one another.

it's not because i prefer not to see it, it's because it's exhausting to hear people complain that lgbt is "too" this and that.. and to hear some lgbt cry about not being accepted when they're really doing more reason not to be accepted, i'm not saying to 100% change or toning it down, but to meet halfway.

i'm also tired of these concept of "embracing flaws", "flawsome", a flaw is a flaw, no need to highlight it, it's just there

That is as bad -- or genuinely worse -- that the right wing people saying that shit. I'm actually more than offended. At least when the religious people / Trumpsters / what have you are saying it, I feel like that is mostly out of ignorance.

that's your opinion, and this is my opinion.
we agree to disagree

freedom is not an ultimate thing, there will always be boundaries.
There will always be a moment, a situation, where too much is just "too much"
it's not ignorance, it's a fact, it's reality

i'm sorry but I have been trying to keep my mouth shut. it doesn't matter if you are gay trans lesbian or anything else. there are things I see that I don't approve of even with straight people it doesn't matter. to me unless it draws a line of decency which means everyone it's not my business. and what I mean by decency is carrying on in public especially where children can see if you know what I mean. otherwise if I don't approve I just look away . it's not my concern. yes some people are more flamboyant than others but that is who and what they are and I have no right to tell them to tone it down. in my opinion I don't see straight gay lesbian trans or anything else I see people. but that's my opinion...mike...*rant*rant*rant*rant

I see your point but again, that is reality, this is the world we live in

and the world we live in has boundaries. There is a place and a time for some things, but don’t expect that you can do it anywhere, everywhere, anytime, every time.
You can’t expect people to be accepting of everything and everyone. Some tolerate to a degree but if it gets too much then it’s too much.

If we want to be at peace with each other, then we have to be mindful of each other.

it’s like they always want the spotlight to be on them but when people react negatively they also lash out, like wtf, you brought this yourself you should’ve known that’s the outcome.
True. And I'm pretty sure the majority of us just want the over-the-top ones to"calm down" since they're making it worse, while it was getting better...more so the sjw/femmanazis who think they're doing people a favour by talking in everyone's name, even though not everyone asked for it...I really dislike them. And definitely don't want to be associated with them, lol.
some of things they may need to adjust
You guys don't seem to know what equality entails. Everyone should have the freedom to act, dress and talk the way and the amount they want. Saying they are ""too much"" for your ears and eyes, and that they bring the "haters" to themselves is at the level of blaming a woman wearing a skirt for getting raped. You should review what you advocate for and the type of people you follow. Those who are the loudest are those who make the biggest change, not the silent ones who "adjust".

We are all flawed, and self awareness is not a bad thing. This really isn't the place to be poking at what we perceive to be people's flaws. Many of us already feel flawed enough. Struggle enough to feel accepted. Now someone is going to sit there and think "am I overboard?" I'm just me, but maybe me isn't okay. Maybe me is wrong!!! Maybe I am "abrasive and repulsive". Maybe that's why people hate me. When in fact that might not be the case AT ALL.

If we want to be at peace with each other, then we have to be mindful of each other.
That also applies here, and being mindful of how what we say could be interpreted by others and be hurtful.
I'm not going to lie I've got a lot of insecurity around my this particular issue. I am just me. I don't TRY to be anything. The idea that I might not be accepted even here, is a real fear. I doubt I'm alone here. There is a reason I don't talk about who I am much. Please try to keep this in mind.

Someone just sent me a scam text message
Saying “i have an urgent message to you, this is my gmail account message me immediately”

first of all i wasnt born yesterday
second idk who tf you are
third you just messaged me just fine if it’s urgent then u could have told me in the text message immediately

it’s like people texting me to pick up because they have something important to say, u can say it through text no matter how important/urgent it is, to you that maybe the case but send me a message format first so i can gage it whether it’s even worth my time

now that you’ve mentioned it.
Equality.
It’s not just for us lgbt,
It’s for everyone.
We have to be at equal level with everyone, that is essentially what equality is. It is not forcing everyone to accept a behavior that is too much.

I wouldn’t go so far as to compare blaming a woman getting raped for wearing a mini skirt, that is taking it “too” far. That is my point with “too much”

we were discussing about social media lgbt people who are nothing but loud and obnoxious, you can’t put yourself out there in the public and ask for privacy when you dont want it anymore, you have to be mindful and responsible of your actions, of the complications of the lifestyle you chose to have. You can’t expect or force everyone to be welcoming or accepting all types of behavior, there will always a point where you draw the line

it’s like this.
Your lifestyle is to curse for every sentence you say.
Would you still do that when you’re surrounded by kids and or nuns?
Would you tell them, this is me, accept me, i demand equality and respect for cursing in the presence of kids and nuns.

No. You have to adjust, respect begets respect. Acceptance begets acceptance.
We have to be mindful of each other and behave accordingly, instead of selfishly and inconsiderately.

another one...
I dont mind women going braless
I dont mind women wearing see through tops that shows undergarments or the lack of it
But I would not expect them to feel that they can enter the church in that attire and demand to be treated with equality and respect while they disrespect and disregard another’s space

there will always be limits to how far you can push boundaries.
Too much is just too much, if you force your opinion on someone rather than just stating it then you are enforcing resistance rather than understanding and acceptance

I get your point, what we discussed though is just us stating the facts, the reality, it is not coming from hate, it is what we see how things really are, it is not skewed or anything else

now self awareness, that we agree, it’s important to be aware of things that make us who we are, and what are the things we can work on about ourselves
And again this is our opinion, it is up to you whether to take it personally,
Personally, the opinions about me that matters are only from the people i consider that really matters to me

and when it comes to pointing out personality, dont just take what one person say and dwell in it, you also have to take in to consideration, who is the person, does this person matter to me, is anything this person said real, is it credible, is it skewed — you have to think that too as well
And also make in to a point when taking in about opinions on your personality that it’s constructive and not meant to be hateful/bashful which isn’t our theme with our discussion.
These opinions have to be consistent as well because if not then it’s not real.
And that’s the point here, what we stated are facts, it’s reality.

if i am an inconsiderate asshole and be called out on it time after time then i have to internalize and think what i can do to improve myself so I stop hurting people around me, so I can stop hurting myself.
It’s nothing negative.

Just my opinion, but I think "over the top" actually works for some people. I personally don't choose to look or act a certain way that makes it obvious to everyone who I am or what I like, but that's just me. Whatever I like, I wear, whether it be a girly dress and heels or an upside down cross and a band shirt. When speaking of "over the top", however, it makes me think of people like, say, Jeffree Star. And I've always personally thought he was pretty cool. His look and personality works for him.

i agree, but you can’t say jeffree didn’t do over the top things that were negative and gave him backlash
And that gave him a reality check
That gave him self-awareness
That what he did was wrong, what he did was too much, that he understands the repercussions, and he is apologetic and regretful and with that awareness it was brought to himself to improve not just for the people but for him/herself and it paid well.

now if we go to someone like james charles, nikocado avocado, that’s what i meant with loud and obnoxious who takes the lgbt card to their advantage. Yes they are part of the rainbow community, yes they want acceptance but do they really feel their rude behavior is deemed acceptable? They are big people online who represents all of us and unknowing people will think that is how all
Lgbt are typically and will make them unaccepting of us

Too much is just too much, if you force your opinion on someone rather than just stating it then you are enforcing resistance rather than understanding and acceptance
You do realize that all of this you are saying is forcing your opinion on someone?
If you curse in front of nuns or children you are too much.
If you go into a church without a bra on you are inappropriate.
If you don't meet MY idea of acceptable then you are overboard.
You are entitled to your opinion, but SF isn't the place to be shaming people for not fitting into the mold you believe they should.
