Please don't! My mom smoked and paid for it with her life. It was not a pleasant way to die. Please don't smoke.

I don't know if I should delete all the photos I have from the time of the relationship, or just stick them in a locked folder.

I actually sent the photo albums to my ex's cabin a number of years ago. He says he can't find them. It was part of my moving on process. And I have not been interested in viewing them. It hurts too much. Bu my daughter's baby pictures were in one of the albums. Oh well.

After posting that I started to delete pics of him, but left off about a third of the way through. I'm not highly functioning at present, and going through them was making me feel even lower.

I know I make some of my worst decisions when I am feeling low. I hope you can stop deleting pics until you feel a bit better. Would hate to have you delete something and regret it later.

Yeah, probably better not to. I'm glad I never started smoking cigarettes, and a lot of people who do tell me to never try it.

cigarettes are cool for some kids but a lot less today than when i was young. i can tell you from experience once you start it's very hard to quit, also health risks are terrible. i have bad copd from 50 years of smoking, i quit too late. please don't start there are much better ways to be cool

I completely understand why smoking can be seen as cool. It sends a message of rebellion and confidence. But smelling like shit all the time, having your face age prematurely, and having to drag an oxygen tank everywhere you go is probably much less cool than the fun of consuming "forbidden fruits".

I've been smoking for about 20 years. I don't want to live with cigarettes, and I don't want to live without cigarettes even more. It's a vicious circle.

I got rid of marijuana much faster than I got rid of tobacco. I haven't gotten rid of tobacco yet, but I haven't smoked marijuana since 2020.

Weed isn't as decadent as cigar though.

The cool thing about cigars is that you are slowly killing yourself by smoking it. Weed doesn't have this level of cool.

But maybe it is all propaganda, probably it is more a question of bad weed marketing also.

I would say that marijuana is not as strong a drug as tobacco.
Tobacco, in my opinion, is a very strong drug.

My stepfather never even drank alcohol, but he smokes ever since he was a teenager. And he is from the church, where any type of drug is seen as bad.

Most legalized drugs are the worst though. My uncle lost his voice by just drinking too much.

I think legalized drugs exist so people can work an 8 hour work day. Without them, people wouldn't be able to work as much, don't you think? At least I don't know people like that. But I used to know people who didn't use any drugs, including legalized drugs, and worked hard. They had health problems.
