So, does anyone else have the strong urge to let people know that you know they’re lying/just being nice when they compliment you? That way no one thinks your head is getting too big, and they all know that you know your place, how dumb or ugly you really are? Or that most compliments are a veiled way of saying how bad at something you usually are, and that your current efforts are barely adequate.

@Gonz I respond to your post because of a recent little event in my life, me letting someone. I did get riled but only on the surface. Deep down I was calm and safe. I hope you are calm and safe Gonz.

There seems to be a trait running through some persons who need a kind of pay-off so they carry on with this behaviour. In my own mind I saw what this person was doing as an attmempt at demonstrating their dominance, &/or arrogant manipulation, or both. A form of bullying.

Astronomers have determined that there's a ring around Uranus. And no matter how many times this is repeated, it will never, ever stop being funny. 👍
I can't believe I missed this until now, lol!

My favorite is that there are toxic gases leaking from Uranus. It's scientifically true! I have more, but I fear wearing out my welcome with my sense of humor that apparently hasn't changed since I was 10.

I am the same way with that type of sense of humor. It is one of the few more human aspects of myself. :)
