I'm sorry for your loss. As you said try to remember all of the good memories.
There will be a time for you to see your father again. Are you a bible reader? At John 5:28,29 it says "All those in the memorial tombs will come out." That scripture gave me hope when I lost my grandfather, I hope this gives you hope as well.

i dont read the bible but its nice to know you got something from it

friday is my dads birthday. first one without him. so confused, n im gona b alone on the day too. other than in the evenin im gona be draged to a comedy club. asif i wana do that! i miss him so much. im finding it so hard jsut to deal with the fact hes gone. i cnt believe it still.

Hang in there, you can give yourself permission to skip events. This is your grief, and it's plenty hard already. Not saying this will be true for you, but certain holidays or celebrations (birthday, wedding anniversary, 6 month, year, 18 month after the loss) is much harder than normal days, and they're hard enough.

thanks. n i may go this comedy club as im not payin for it i can drink alllll night haha. its what my dad would have wanted. but ye been 8 months. its his bday, well technicaly now. and i dont belive hes dead still. ah well. life eh?
