Saying goodbye to Jimk

He and I talked several times about how much fun it would be to meet face-to-face. We weren't sure it would ever be possible because we lived on opposite sides of the country. but he wanted to give me the chance to play some of the awesome video games he had; he said it didn't matter that I couldn't see the screens, I'd have fun just pressing buttons and hearing the sound effects.

I never got to know him well and only chatted with him a few times, but in reading this thread it sounds like he was a great guy.

My strongest memory of him will be the only official warning i got here that he pm'ed me when i first started coming here (not that i didn't deserve it :P )

Rest in peace, Jimk.

Jimk, I miss you so much. I miss hearing my phone ring and the me taking a second to recognize the long-distance number as yours, and then happily talking to you and having some laughs and some philosophical discussions. I keep you deep in my heart and think of you often. :arms:

Jimk, you're still here in our thoughts and hearts and always will be. I just wanted to let you know that I am still thinking of you, even though we rarely talked, and to say that you have made an enormous impact on me and, if I may be so bold, everyone here. You are an amazing and inspirational person.
*hugs* Thanks. We miss you and always will.

Happy Father's Day, Jim. I remember saying that to you a few years ago, and you telling me it meant a lot to you because it wasn't something your son was able to verbalize. You were thought of and remembered today.
